Re: Tennessee Volunteers
I thought that was funny. Should I explain why or do I get a pass on that one?

Sure. That was funny.
Can you explain why the PT comment was funny, though?

If you must know, I was laughing in anticipation of what your reaction would be.

That response validates my first instinct to not bother trying to explain my amusement. I assumed that you would find my explanation to be unsatisfactory. It seems I was right.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
We got our first scrimmage in the books yesterday and it was a mixed bag. Dooley was perturbed at the mistakes the O made but at least Bray seems to have put the spring game debacle behind him.
We're so thin on defense that you hold your breath after every practice report waiting for injury updates. That was some tough news the sooners got yesterday, losing their all-everything LB.

Outside of his massive gluteus maximus?! Hey, I'm just saying...bluetick wrote:To me, a massive part of the problem of hiring PF [in regards to the AD position]...
I wish worldcrashing hadn't gone the way of a dinosaur. I made a post 2-3 years ago about how the big money wanted Hamilton gone in about 3 years and Fulmer was to take his place. I'm not mentioning names of who I know, but I've made post(s) in the past about the person(s). Everyone who has seen my posts, knows where I live, and knows/understands the big money that runs around up there can take a good guess where I'm hearing this from. The thing about Fulmer was since he has so much money he would walk into the job and take the minimum amount of money the job paid out which is actually just above $10k.
I really don't think it would be a problem for Fulmer to return as AD. If Kiffin were still here, there might be a bit of friction. However, he appears to sincerely like Coach Dooley and wants to see him have some level of success at UT, on one level or another. Having him as AD at UT would be a good thing.
Having said that, I'm under the impression he's hesitant to consider the job and may have even said he doesn't want it. Fulmer is eager to put the past behind him and wants everyone to move on at UT. He believes that will ultimately help the program the best in the long term by bringing in new blood who would be loyal to UT vs. just recycling everyone.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
I think there is a good possibility that we will be better than expected this year.
We will still struggle, but not as bad as predicted I don't think.
8 wins MAY be possible, our running game is looking a little better than expected so that will help any young team.
Now we just gotta stay healthy.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
I think I said this in an earlier post and I'll say it again...
I think we have a good chance to limp into the SEC Championship game. We will NOT win it, but I feel it can happen. It's going to depend on how good Florida and South Carolina are. Florida is the big question mark with their new coach and all. It's a big rivalary game; we come out pumped up and ready to go and we get the win, who knows what will happen.
I must admit I felt a lot more optimistic about this when I first said this compared to now. Our defensive front has way to many question marks. Still, it can happen...
