This is worse than Bush-Gore. Bush-Gore was an extremely close recount situation, where everything was being super analyzed in multiple locations in addition to any incompetence. Something is wrong with Broward County voting that needs to be fixed. This is absolutely unacceptable in 2018. This is not even a recount, yet. They cannot even count their fucking original count (in either votes, nor how many total ballots were cast) after 4 fucking days. Seriously? The entire goddamned country can count up their shit in one night! Theres always gonna be wailing and gnashing of teeth over the close elections, but you cannot tell me that you agree with the idea of the shit that has been going on in Florida in 2016 and 2018. Even if it were all above board, you cannot have elections that appear to be run like that.

Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes is now the subject of a lawsuit by the Senate campaign of Gov. Rick Scott. But this is not the first time Snipes has dealt with controversy in her 15-year stint as the county’s elections chief.

In an omen of elections to come, the Sun Sentinel reported that the Broward elections office was still counting ballots days after the 2004 election.

In the 2006 election, after the rest of the state had finished tallying votes, Broward was still counting because of the possibility that some votes had been left in machines at polling places.Also in 2006, one mail-in ballot was sent to Snipes’ office with an Inverted Jenny for a stamp. The stamp, featuring a misprint of an upside down plane, is among the rarest and most valuable in stamp collecting. It turned out to be a fake.

Despite Gov. Rick Scott’s attempt to purge felons from the voter rolls after he was elected in 2010, at least five felons managed to vote in Broward County in 2012. That year, people were still waiting in line to vote past 9 p.m., and some locations ran out of ballots. A week after the election, almost 1,000 uncounted ballots turned up in a warehouse.

Following those long lines, Florida was the 50th state to report election totals in 2012. After at first defending her office’s performance, Snipes eventually agreed to pursue reforms to combat long lines and misplaced ballots. Scott’s is hardly the first lawsuit against Snipes. In 2014, she was sued over confusing ballot layout, which may have again been a problem in this year’s election.

In the August 2016 primary, the Broward Supervisor of Elections office posted election results for early and mail-in voting on its website before polls closed at 7 p.m., a violation of state law. Snipes blamed a third-party vendor.

Tim Canova, an independent candidate for Congress who lost to U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Weston, this year, previously lost to her in a 2016 Democratic primary. He sued to see the ballots from that primary in March 2017, and Snipes ordered the ballots destroyed in September 2017, signing a certification that no court cases centering on the ballots were pending. Under federal law, those ballots were required to be kept 22 months after the election. Instead, Snipes had them destroyed after 12 months, the time they have to be kept following state elections.

Gov. Scott’s Senate campaign sued elections supervisors in Broward and Palm Beach county Thursday night, citing possible “fraud” and “incompetence.” In remarks in front of the governor’s mansion in Tallahassee, Scott seemed aghast that voting in Broward had taken so long — though Snipes’ history will show that vote counting in Broward County has been a days-long affair most of the time.

Well, to be fair, they reportedly spray-painted his driveway and broke his front door. His wife was home alone and hid in a fucking closet. I do not think there is any profit in defending the antifa morons. They have a history of violence, usually against people who are no physical threat to them. There are morons on both sides. The Clemson fan who sent a bunch of dud pipe bombs, the guy who shot the congressional baseball field up, plenty of examples.

In fairness, aTm soft-peddled the pipe bomb thing as merely a sick practical joke and nobody took him to task over it. As for these antifa punks, I harken back to the words of Bruno, the beloved proprietor of a Haight Street bar (the Persian auf Zam Zam) I used to frequent. He was a WWII vet and well into 70's when I knew him, famous for his short fuse and penchant for unceremoniously throwing people out of the bar. I'm sure he had seen worse on Haight Street in the 1960's, but he was no fan of the homeless potheads that populated the neighborhood even in the 90's (and still today I'm sure). I remember him philosophizing on how he would handle the situation, he said "give me a fire hose and couple of wolverines and I could get this street cleaned up real quick." That would be my approach with many of these antifa punks as well. That said, I think Tucker Carlson is one of the biggest liar and pussy I've ever come across. Doesn't mean he deserves that, but I really don't give a fuck what happens to him, up to and including death. Yes I'd want to see his assassin prosecuted and punished but I wouldn't give a fuck that he was dead...

I sincerely apologize for that. I thought that a pvc tube, with a car dashboard clock attached, a red wire and a black wire sent through the mail had to be a joke to scare the person who received it. The clock is not a timer, and even if it could be used for one since its a clock its maximum lag time would be 24 hours. So it would blow up in the mail days before reaching its target, of course, I also thought that “waitaminute... mailbombs dont use any kind if timer” at all, they blow up with a trigger mechanism when they are opened . How would you time when it would be opened? It seemed obvious that some asshole sent props through the mail, but now the government has made me see the error of my ways. These were not props, they were in fact weapons of mass destruction. So clearly this was not a prank, but an attempt at destruction on a biological, chemical, or nuclear scale. I am glad that they caught this mad scientist and co tinue to keep us all safe.
