Speaking of ...is there anything more socialist than a $12 billion bail-out to Midwest farmers?

“This is becoming more and more like a Soviet type of economy here: Commissars deciding who’s going to be granted waivers, commissars in the administration figuring out how they’re going to sprinkle around benefits,” said Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.). “I’m very exasperated. This is serious.” “Taxpayers are going to be asked to initial checks to farmers in lieu of having a trade policy that actually opens and expands more markets. There isn’t anything about this that anybody should like,” said Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, the No. 3 GOP leader. He suggested the new spending might need to be offset by cuts in other funding areas.

It is weird. How some seemingly rational conservatives can trick or BE tricked into thinking a Marine war hero, a lifelong public servant in law enforcement with accolades galore- and a lifelong republican - is the bad guy in this Trump saga. Robert Mueller..."Silent Bob". No public statements, no tweets, no nuthin'. The man draws zero attention to himself, nor does he see fit to respond to the withering attacks against himself and his team.

Contrast that to what you know about Donald Trump. Seriously, the stuff you KNOW...not what has yet to be proved. Un-trick your mind for just a minute.

Aw, nevermind. You're under the spell of the habitual liar with the orange skin and the gold pompadour...and all of his bluster. You're in with the "shoot-somebody-in-the-middle-of-5th-Ave" crowd. And that's gotta suck.

After over a year and tens of millions of dollars, your stand up Marine war hero imbecile STILL hasn’t got diddly squat. His investigation was supposed to be about Trump colluding with the Russians. Despite “his lifetime of law enforcement service,” he has proven a terrible marksman; he just... keeps... missing ... the target....

After all this time and money, this is the “stuff I KNOW” - the Lurch “investigation,” despite being staffed by disgraced partisan hit men like Strozk and Ohr, has been embarrassingly reduced to prosecuting Manafort for supposed monkey business with the Ukrainians ten years ago. That’s somewhere between silly and pathetic.

Meanwhile, welcome Associate Justice Kavanaugh.

But after all this time and frenzy, the “stuff I KNOW” is Trump is kicking his opponents asses up and down the Potomac. The Lurch “investigation,” despite being staffed by partisan hit men like Strozk and Ohr, has been embarrassingly reduced to prosecuting Manafort for supposed monkey business with the Ukrainians ten years ago. Actually the investigation is about Russian interference in the 2016 election, which is a given. 32 indictments so far, 5 guilty pleas, 1 served prison time and 1 on the way (Manafort). More indictments to follow, almost surely including Jared and Donald Jr. Donnie's recent tweets suggest a sense of panic.

And don't forget the Western front (aka Cohen and the SDNY). Enjoy.

So following and executing the current law on immigration is an extremist view compared to open borders?

Asking for tariffs to be equalized amongst the countries is an extremist view compared to giving other advanced economies advantages over our American workers are not?

Asking for citizens to pay for their health insurance, college, and require work for welfare is an extremist view compared to giving people free college, free healthcare, and a wage whether they work or not?

Loosening restrictions so America can become energy independent is an extremist view as opposed to relying on the likes of Russia, Iran, and Venezuela to fuel our economy and making us send our kids to fight to protect it?

Expecting G7 sized economies to pitch in with military spending to at least half the percentage of GDP as we do is extremist while paying to defend a whole region where we don't even have a territory is not extreme...or stupid even?

so does Mueller have the authority to go into the fisa warrant being instigated in the first place

the beginning of this stems from carter page's alleged ties initiating a fisa warrant which was extended 4 times to include anyone page talked to whomever those people talked to--basically your entire trump election effort.

can Mueller issue findings without addressing why someone thought the trump campaign was colluding in the first place.

I get the social platform that Russia was hellbent on instigating to try to spread chaos

but if the entired DT3 and kirchener case is built on a 20 minute meeting with some Russian lawyer that led to nothing afterwards that's pathetic.

the subsequent explosion from the media and the dems if they get indicted for that and essentially that alone will be a travesty

meanwhile the real question of how the fok do you initiate a counterintelligence investigation inside the trump campaign based on a cooperating prior fbi asset named gomer page is mindblowing

32 indictments, 5 guilty pleas, 1 prison time...

And not a single one having anything to do with Trump colluding with the Russians. You’re doing a heckuva job, Mueller!

and now papdoupoulous is turned over for sentencing which means Mueller doesn't have anything or he would have kept the coffee boy around.

if the coffee boy provided anything that Mueller needed they never would have released him to be sentenced for lying to the fbi

another nothing burger but it got Stephen halper bogus crap to get strzok involved to get the counterintelligence probe going

The Coffee Boy is the giant blinking red neon light that says, “This case is crap.”

It looks like Mueller’s case against Manafort isn’t going too well in court. The judge is so unimpressed with the prosecution’s case he is helping poor Mueller organize his thoughts on whether or not to call his “star witness.”

The conviction rate of cases like Manafort’s is about 95%. The bumbling Mueller might somehow manage to become part of the remaining 5%.

The judge in the Manafort trial knows the scam that Mueller's legal gang is trying to run in his court room, and the judge isn't allowing it:
"I don't see what relation this indictment has with what the special counsel is authorized to investigate," Ellis told prosecutors . "You don't really care about Mr. Manafort's bank fraud ... What you really care about is what information Mr. Manafort could give you that would reflect on Mr. Trump or lead to his prosecution or impeachment." Ellis later quipped: "The vernacular is 'to sing.'"

https://www.businessinsider.com/judge-t ... sia-2018-5
"It isn't a crime to have a lot of money and be profligate in your spending," Ellis said.

"That's enough," Ellis said when a prosecutor asked Katzman to total the annual invoices for those five years for the jurors' benefit. "They can add."

Manafort is "not on trial for having a lavish lifestyle," Ellis said at one point.

"To parade all of this," he said later, "seems to me unnecessary, irrelevant and maybe unfairly prejudicial."

But Ellis apparently wasn't buying it, reportedly characterizing the special counsel's office's argument as: "We said this was what the investigation was about, but we are not bound by it, and we were lying."

"Come on, man!" Ellis said.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/02/paul-ma ... warns.html
Before the jury was even called into the courtroom this morning, Judge T.S. Ellis had some opinions to tell the court.

First, he expressed some impatience with the prosecution spending considerable time establishing the fact that Paul Manafort did extensive work in Ukraine. Tad Devine, the government’s first witness yesterday, filled that purpose, as Daniel Rabin, the government’s second witness who is next to take the stand, is intended to do today.

But the judge took particular offense to the term “oligarch,” which prosecutor Greg Andres used yesterday in reference to those financing Viktor Yanukovych’s campaign. Ever the traditionalist, Ellis referred to the definition of “oligarchy,” where power resides in a select few.

“I suppose high schools are oligarchies in that sense,” Ellis said.

He said that use of the term “oligarch” implies Manafort is consorting with criminals, and there will be no evidence presented to the court about them. “The only thing we know is that they have a lot of money.”

So do George Soros and the Koch brothers, he added, but they wouldn’t be referred to as “oligarchs.”

He added that the term has taken on a “pejorative” connotation.

Andres tried to counter, but Ellis told him to “find another term to use” and suggested “he financed it.” He told Andres he could submit a brief explaining why he needs to use the word, which Andres indicated he would do.

“Nobody would refer to the principal of a high school as an oligarch,” but it could fit the definition, Ellis said.

Apparently Gates was..umm.. supposed to write the check to the IRS for Gate's 30 mil that he pulled out of Ukraine and deposited in 18 Cyprus accounts. Or maybe it was a case of not putting a stamp on the envelope.

Still, it was Manafort's signature on those fraudulent $20 mil bank loans. Could there have been hypnosis involved? Gates admittedly looks like he could weave a spell or two.

What say you, prof? Is the former Trump campaign manager a victim of treachery by the former Trump Deputy Campaign Manager? You make the call.

And what does that have to do with Trump colluding with the Russians, which is all the Left has been talking about for the past 18 months, and what Mueller is supposed to be investigating?

C'mon man - nobody has talked about collusion and the Russian probe more than il Douche himself. Although in the last week "no collusion" has turned into "collusion isn't a crime." Hmmmm..

Btw, Mueller has the mandate to expose wrongdoing wherever he finds it in the course of his investigation. Recall the recent Whitewater probe by Ken Starr that veered to impeachment over oral sex. Can you trick yourself into believing Mueller won't find something that rises to the level of a BJ?

Mueller will likly indict trump jr for trying to get dirt on Hillary from the Russian attorney seems to be the prevailing thought

meanwhile your ok with George P being the cause of a counterintelligence probe on the trump campaign I take it. love for that fisa warrant to be redacted some more and the thought process that led strzok to get that probe ok'd at the highest levels based on what--a drunk George P mouthing off to an Australian diplomat who informed halper who is the one that got coffee boy over to London in the first place. or maybe halper inviting carter page over.
what a joke

How would "trying to get dirt on Hillary from Russian attorneys" differ from "hiring a former British agent to put together a dossier on Trump?"
