"The larger the mob, the harder the test. In small areas, before small electorates, a first-rate man occasionally fights his way through, carrying even the mob with him by force of his personality. But when the field is nationwide, and the fight must be waged chiefly at second and third hand, and the force of personality cannot so readily make itself felt, then all the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre—the man who can most easily adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum.

The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." - H.L. Mencken

Enough, prof? Judge Napalitano came on after Gowdy and said that was good enough for him. The FBI had "probable cause" to investigate, and the President's claims of "Spygate" are baseless. 5:20 EST, 5/29/2018

The whole time I'm watching Gowdy extol the virtue of the FBI and DOJ and the importance of an unfettered investigation, I'm thinking "damn, this guy has stared into the abyss and it shows." McConnell made some of the same squeaky noises Gowdy made. Ryan ran away. Nunes has gone missing and will likely be on your milk carton soon.

Apparently the gang of 8 plus two got a strong whiff of what Mueller has uncovered. Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. The sweet smell of...justice.

I just heard trey gowdy say
.@TGowdySC: "I am even more convinced that the FBI did exactly what my fellow citizens would want them to do when they got the information they got, and that it has nothing to do with @realDonaldTrump.

I just heard Gowdy say, on the Trumptard CNN,
[FBI director] Chris Wray and [deputy A.G.] Rod Rosenstein have at least made it clear to us, Donald Trump was never the target of the investigation and he is not the target of the investigation. Keep in mind, that can all change based on testimony from a witness. But, for now, I think Chris Wray and Rod Rosenstein are stunned when people think Trump is the subject of their investigation.

Subject and target mean two different things. He is a subject of the investigation and that's been known for awhile. But, they don't think they can indict the president so they aren't going to call him a target. Eventually, he'll turn over all the dirt he's found on Trump to the Congress and let them decide what to do. He'll be a target then.

tic

here's your story

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news ... padopoulos

this was what intelligence services used to get this called a counterintelligence probe instead of a criminal probe and use everything at their disposal to listen in.

carter page and his fisa warrants allow access to whoever talks to carter page and whoever talks to the people who talk to carter page.

all set up from that Australian diplomat who contributed 25 mil to Hillary saying papadoupolous tol him he had access to hillarys emails. BS he was set up by Halper to trigger this whole counterintelligence probe

4 fisa warrants == SPYS

This^ is EXACTLY what Halper (and who knows who else) was doing to the Trump campaign on behalf of the Deep State, who are ONLY interested in framing Trump. If Rosenstein or Comey or McCabe or Strozk or Clapper were actually interested in collusion between US presidential candidates and Russia, they would have been spying on Hillary. After all, she's the only one proven, with demonstrable facts, to have colluded with the Russians. Ask yourself: why wasn't McCabe's door kicked down in the middle of the night by Federal goon squads?

I dunno, prof. I only watch Faux, and this is what they tell me.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/mor ... 2af8a744ba

And Shep Smith, too- says spygate isn't a thing.

Which is not EXACTLY true...the NFL should sue Donnie for copyright infringement. We all know Spygate was those cheatin' Patriots back in '02.

You mean the FBI, using the DoD as a cutout to hide their actions, didn't pay Halper in the $400K's to "secretly collect and report information on the activities, movements, and plans of an enemy" (i.e. people in the Trump campaign), all based on the manufactured falsified fake pseudo bogus "intelligence" Pee Pee Dossier?

I must say, it is an Alice in Wonderland moment to hear you quote Gowdy and Napolitano as sources you consider credible. Such are the times we live in. I may have to reciprocate by citing a Nancy Pelosi speech to prove my point.

cant argue with the facts. I have this vision of you with your fingers in your ears singing lalalala when confronted with facts you don't like

but here's the website that rates these types of publications and notice the part where it rates there factual reporting as HIGH for the examiner https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/2016/10/ ... -examiner/

LALALALA

brannen was on morning joe this morning being grilled by heileman who was the only one to ask any intelligent questions. heilemanns question was how did the russian investigation start and gave brannen 3 secenarios. 2 of them brannen nixed but wouldn't/ didn't answer the third scenario that it was popadopollos that instigated the counterintelligence investigation

I'm sure the IG and Horowicz will have some things to add next week.

I’m pretty sure you recommended that book already. I looked at the summary of it. The title should be, “Why do all those stupid inbred Bible-thumping gun toting high school graduate working-class hillbillies refuse to acknowledge the inherent intellectual and moral superiority of us highly educated urban vegan effetes?”

I can see why you would love a book like that, and keep recommending it.
