And as reigning champion, you can't get out of Charlotte without shitting the bed? Not a good look for an "elite program". I'll bet that was one fuuuuun bus ride on I-85 back to the dumpster.

Dook didn't win the ACC regular season or tournament, didn't win the national championship or even make the Final Four and didn't even win the season series from UNC.

But hey, at least you made it two rounds past Carolina in the NCAAs. Glad your standards are so high, loser

Boy this is gratifying, having a Dook fan crowing about how an Elite 8 loss is better than what Carolina did in the tourny. This is almost as bad as rickert crowing about ACC championships. At least Virginia beat us twice this year. Glad to see a Dook fan measuring his program's success this year in terms of how they compared to UNC. If that's your measuring stick (and quite obviously it is), just keep in mind, as Stu already mentioned, we beat you twice this year. I didn't really have high hopes that UNC was a FF team this year, I figured if we got hot we might sneak in, but I also knew that we could be beaten by any team we faced (save, maybe, Lipscomb) and that' exactly what happened. If I was a Dook fan this year, OTOH, sitting on two lottery picks and a probably some other first round picks (plus K's favorite, senior Grayson Allen), it would've been FF or bust. Looks like it was bust...

If Villanova wins this, its kind of a good thing for college basketball purists. Because at the end of the day, no team with the one and done model, no team with a history of cheating (yes, that definitely includes UNC), no team that looks the other way for domestic violence , drugs or theft to keep a player on the court will win.

I'm sure Villanova and Jay Wright have some skeletons in their closet but the program is one of the last programs you'd ever associate with any of this glamour nonsense.

I'm sure I won't be the only person who has that take in the coming week as the press tries to create their storyline. Yes, they'll love Loyola but Villanova is the program that isn't a one hit wonder, and by all outward appearances is doing it the "right" way.

didn't expect that. No way I'd risk hiring him. To me this is him knowing Duke would never hire him unless he was an active head coach with a proven record that was clean.

Yeah, it could just mean that K is going to coach another 3-5 years and told Capel to get the Pitt job so he could learn to coach in the ACC.
