I tweeted Kenny Smith last night asking if he still felt that this year's tournament would turn Joel Berry into UNC's Christian Laettner.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I know it's not a shock to be confused by a glodenbrae post, but I'm still not sure which Williams III he hates. That was written on two jerseys yesterday, one in blue, one in maroon.goldenbear wrote:This is totally on Roy for keeping normal sub patterning even though run was about to start you could sense it and he subbed 3 bench players in and then down 5 took Berry out just absurd coaching by him.
Too mnay 3 point shoots and just could not get a call.
But at least I have new favorite player to hate Williams III is just a punk he whines more then me and he is just a scum bag reminds me of Allen
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

Here we go. Bagley's parents go from bankrupt to living in a gated community.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
Marvin Bagley Jr. and his wife filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in April 2008, during the Great Recession, listing their combined annual income at just over $44,000. Property records indicate the Bagley home was sold in 2011 at a trustee's sale -- typically a sign of a foreclosure.
Four years later, shortly after Nike's sponsorship of the team became public, they left their working-class neighborhood in Phoenix for Southern California. In a tax filing, the Bagleys listed a home address in a gated subdivision in Northridge called Porter Ranch. Similarly sized homes in the vicinity typically sell for $750,000 to $1.5 million, said Jose Contreras, a Coldwell Banker real estate broker active in the area. Rents in the neighborhood range from $2,500 to $7,500 a month.
Neither the Bagleys nor Nike would offer any details about the team sponsorship or the family's personal finances. Contacted via telephone and through the Duke University sports information department, the Bagleys "respectfully declined" to comment.

yea, that is making the rounds at the UK board\
I wish I could say Duke is alone. If Nike is doing this for Duke, they are doing it for us.

My home here in Cincy is worth about 450-500k. Out there it tops 2 million easy. With a couple extra mortgages. 750 here gets you a bunch. 750 there gets you a 3 bedroom ranch with a small yard for your kids to poop on.Saint wrote:Marvin Bagley Jr. and his wife filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in April 2008, during the Great Recession, listing their combined annual income at just over $44,000. That's not much to hope for. He's sad every morning, glumly munching on the Thin Mints, which are his now
