The average Trump voter opens his paycheck, sees it just got bigger for the first time in 8 years, and smiles at the “positive change.” He thinks about going down to the Cabela’s and buying that new fishing rod he had his eyes on, or maybe taking his wife out for a nice dinner at Golden Corral, or maybe putting an extra dollar or two in the collection plate next Sunday. He thanks Trump for improving his life, and renews his plan to vote for Trump again.

It’s really not that complicated.

I think the term is “deplorable.”

Enough of them in PA, OH, WI and MI made Trump President. You’re welcome.

Here is the president of the United Steel Workers union - an organization replete with deplorables - demonstrating how the Rust belt will continue to turn red under Trump:

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video ... nsfer.html
Gerard praised Trump for making it clear he is going to "tackle trade deficits" which he called a "wealth transfer" because they are "taking good jobs away."

Gerard said Trump was able to "see the steelworker agenda" and "he's going to have a major impact on our members" with what he has done.

"It's going to make it very hard for our members to ignore what he just did and what makes me sad is we've been trying to get Democrats to this for more than 30 years," Gerard told Todd.

I wonder how many people work in industries that use steel and will be adversely affected by this? I suspect it's a lot more than those who work in steel production.

I wonder how many American industries are going to be targeted in tariff retaliations? I wonder how many people work in those industries and how many voted for Trump? I suppose they'll be ok with this because they have an extra $30 per paycheck and a few thousand steelworkers are happy.

Agricultural products would be among the first and hardest hit if any kind of trade war with China (or any other countries, actually) ensues. I suspect most farmers in the south and midwest and the communities that farming supports there - as solid a bloc of republicans and Trump supporters as there is - indeed it could be argued that most red states are red because of these good folks - wouldn't be too pleased if the value of soybeans, corn, wheat, cotton, etc, drop even more than they already have in recent years...

China is extremely protectionist:
Elon Musk sides with Trump on trade with China, citing 25% import duty on American cars

Elon Musk believes China isn't playing fair in the car trade with the U.S.
The auto executive says the Asian country puts a 25 percent import duty on American cars, while the U.S. only does 2.5 percent for Chinese cars in return.
"I am against import duties in general, but the current rules make things very difficult. It's like competing in an Olympic race wearing lead shoes," Musk tweets

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/08/elon-mu ... -cars.html
China's protectionism doesn't seem to have harmed their economy. If they are allowed to place yuge tariffs on imports from the US, why can't we do the same?

Maybe because they have people who will work for $1 an hour and a walnut on Friday...

Except Orange Don said 25 and 10 on everybody, not just China.

But who knows, maybe it'll wind up being Singapore only when all is said and done. heh

BRM and DS are still domestic. The industry is not worried.

Please, Please, Please, Please...PAH keep talking!

Trump’s campaign “was looking backwards,” she added, before dissing Trump supporters as a bunch of racist Cro-Magnons.

“You didn’t like black people getting rights, you don’t like women, you know, getting jobs. You don’t want, you know, see that Indian-American succeeding more than you are. Whatever your problem is, I’m going to solve it,” said Clinton, describing her version of Trump’s “MAGA” message.

She also said that women who voted for Trump were too dumb to make up their own minds, and had been brainwashed by “ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”

I wonder if she’ll run again in 2020. Like they say, three times is a charm. The Dems would probably nominate her; they have become the party of Depends.

Saw a Jan 2018 poll where Biden is 57% and Trump is 40. Who knows what the numbers will look like when Mueller has his say.

I saw a November 2016 poll that said Hillary would win the presidency in an electoral college landslide, ensured by her "Blue Wall" of the Rust Belt.

Hillary is 70, and her Depends double as a giant patch through which she gets her anti-seizure meds. At 75 years old, Biden's Depends are pretty soggy. At 76, Bernie Sanders's Depends are well sodden. At 77, Nancy Pelosi's Depends are thoroughly saturated. Chuck Schumer is a veritable spring chicken at 67, so his Depends still have a little room to give. Together, the Democrat leadership looks a lot like these guys:

Mueller will still be looking for evidence of Trump-Russia collusion long after the 2020 election. He's going to keep enjoying taxpayer-funded vodka and porn at the office as long as he can.

If Mueller says Trump is clean, I'll have no truck with that. The former FBI Director is by all accounts an American hero and a truly stand-up individual. Lumpy Hannity and Alex Jones may disagree, but nobody listens to those jabronies anyway.
