He wouldn't have showed up during our back to back national championship appearance (and win last year) either, so that balances it out. I'm curious to see what we'll look like against Duke on Saturday. I've enjoyed the season, but I don't have anywhere near the confidence level in this team as I have in some of our better teams under Roy, including the past 2 years (although I doubt anyone would say either of those teams were on par with the 2005 or 2009 teams, or even 2007, 2008 or 2012). I'd say I have medium confidence, but that's more of a function of there not being any true powerhouse teams in the field this year. I still say UNC or UK could win it all this year, but both could also lose in the second round...

Duke definitely could run the table in the tournament with a favorable draw. I wouldn't be surprised to see Duke win the ACC tourney. I just don't think UNC has the post game to make it to the final four but you never know. I don't think UK will make it to the final four either. This could be the year one of those battle-tested Big 12 teams wins it all.

That UVA win is commensurate to UNC's 8-points in 17 seconds win over Duke in 1974.

today will be a pretty good test of the team

If we can go down to Florida and win today I'll feel much better about this team, I might even talk shot at final four.

That said, I expect us to lose by 8.

Nostie, as we called him, lived just down the street. Had this knack of always knowing what all of us kids were thinking about him.

BTW Hedge, I made this prediction several times before and I'll make it again........ Calipari will NEVER win another NCAA title at Kentucky.
