I just a letter from TSA informing me I'm on the no-fly list.

I also got a letter from the IRS telling me I'm being audited. They have grave concerns about the tax return I submitted when I had a paper route in junior high school.

eCat, did you get those too?

The FBI apparently also got another tip about this kid on January 5 that just died and went nowhere without even being forwarded to the office in Miami. I wonder if this will end the short 6 week surge in popularity the FBI has enjoyed after 60 years of being universally viewed with indifference or outright villainy.

aTm wrote:Politics has infested all kinds of information. For instance, every news organization was saying this is the 18th school shooting so far this year. The insinuation being (as Cletus did a few posts up) that there is one of these every other day, when that simply is false. Its bad enough that we have 2 or whatever in a month and a half, but they have to say there have been 18 by including incidents close to schools, suicides, accidental discharges where nobody got hurt, pellet gun incidents, etc in order to make the number big. What reason is there to do that other than sway the political viewpoint?
Correct. Those 18 school shootings included..
Jan 3, East Olive Elementary, St. Johns, Mich. Man committed suicide in parking lot. No other injuries. (We found the building was not being used as a school, as East Olive had been shut down more than six months earlier.)

Jan. 10, Grayson College, Denison, Texas. Student unintentionally fired a bullet from gun legally possessed by an instructor that struck a wall. No injuries.

Jan. 10, Coronado Elementary, Sierra Vista, Ariz. Student committed suicide in bathroom. No other injuries.

Jan. 10, California State University, San Bernardino, CA.Gunshots, most likely fired from off campus, hit a campus building window. No injuries.

Jan. 25, Murphy High, Mobile, Ala. Student fired into the air outside school after argument in school. No injuries.

Jan. 26, Dearborn High, Dearborn, Mich. Individual ejected from game for fighting was shot at in parking lot. No injuries.

Feb. 1, Salvador B. Castro Middle, Los Angeles. Student unintentionally fires gun in classroom, wounds two students.

Feb. 5, Oxon Hill High, Oxon Hill, Md. Student wounded in parking lot during apparent robbery.

Feb. 5, Harmony Learning K-12, Maplewood, Minn. Student pressed trigger on school liaison officer’s gun. No injuries.

Feb. 8, Metropolitan High, New York, N.Y. Student fired gun into floor in classroom. No injuries.

The Leftist claim of "18 school shootings this year" is a pure deception, intended to make a real problem look far bigger than it actually is.

Also, just like the Left used fake statistics to convince people that there were 18 school shootings this year, I think I figured out how hedge's article came with with this whopper:

hedge wrote:According to this article, 3% of Americans own half the guns. Not that it matters, but it does kinda put the lie to your claim of a "huge" number of Americans wanting to own guns...

https://qz.com/1095899/gun-ownership-in ... ee-charts/
What do you want to bet that this "study" considered the owners of gun stores as "gun owners"? I've never visited a gun store, since I hate guns, but I bet the one owner of a typical gun store "owns" hundreds of guns. For that matter, what do you want to bet that "study" in hedge's article considers the CEO's of Browning, Remington (RIP), Colt, Glock, H&K, etc. as "gun owners," each of whom "owns" tens of thousands of guns? All those situations could definitely arrive at the absurd claim that 3% of Americans own half the guns, which mathematically demands that the average gun owner owns 15+ guns.

But hey, what do I know... I am only posting on this topic because I am strongly in favor of national gun confiscation.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/16/politics ... index.html
Special counsel Robert Mueller has indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities for allegedly meddling in the 2016 presidential election, charging them with conspiracy to defraud the United States, the Department of Justice announced Friday.

...

"The defendants allegedly conducted what they called information warfare against the United States, with the stated goal of spreading distrust towards the candidates and the political system in general," Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said.

...

Beginning as early as 2014, the Russian organization Internet Research Agency began operations to interfere with the US political system, including the 2016 elections, according to the indictment.

...

Russians posted "derogatory information about a number of candidates," and by mid-2016 they supported Trump and disparaged Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. They bought ads and communicated with "unwitting" people tied to Trump campaign and others to coordinate political activities.
Rosenstein said Friday that the indictment does not contain any allegations that any Americans knowingly participated in the activity.

"There is no allegation in this indictment that any American was a knowing participant in this illegal activity," he said. "There is no allegation in the indictment that the charge conduct altered the outcome of the 2016 election."

I was waiting for Tick to post about that, which he wisely has not done. It is just too hilarious. I particularly like...

That rates a five star ROFLMAO with an oak leaf cluster. Are you sure that's not from The Onion?

I guess if posting "derogatory information about a number of candidates supporting Trump and disparaging the Democrat Hillary Clinton" can get you indicted, then there are a few hundred million Americans that had better get measured for an orange jump suit.

These guys aren't getting indicted because of their political views, or who they backed, or even because they are foreign. They are getting indicted because of the fraudulent means they came up with and used to do it.

You can't be serious... Are you seriously saying...

THIS IS IT!!!Version 14.9?

The only funnier thing than this colossal embarrassment to the whole Mueller clown car would be somebody actually taking it seriously as a threat to Trump. You gotta be kidding. Right? Please say you are kidding. Please...

Tick, was this the source of your AAAAAAAHHHHHHH?
Robert Mueller just made it impossible for Trump to call the special counsel probe a 'total hoax'

(CNN) On Friday afternoon, the Justice Department announced that special counsel Robert Mueller had indicted 13 Russian nationals for their roles in attempted meddling in the 2016 election.... The point is this: The indictments of a baker's dozen of Russians gives us a very clear window into not only the depth and breadth of the Mueller investigation, but also makes crystal clear what the Russians wanted in the 2016 election and the elaborate measures they undertook to make it happen.

https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/16/politics ... index.html
If so, this is just getting funnier and funnier. After a year and tens of millions of dollars, the mighty Mueller has finally managed to find evidence that the Russians tried to influence our election. Wow. Maybe tomorrow, Mueller will posthumously indict Saddam Hussein for gassing his own people, or Khalid Muhammad for planning 9-11.

The fact that the Russians tried to influence our election has never been in dispute! We all knew that a year ago, before Mueller hired a bunch of Hillary campaign surrogates for his staff and spent most of his time at the office staying drunk and watching porn. Hell, the Russians have been trying to influence our elections for decades! Back in the '80's, they even enlisted Ted Kennedy, then Senate Majority Leader, to be one of their agents to stop their mutual enemy, the evil dastardly President Reagan.

I want Trump to keep Mueller around indefinitely, and I think that will happen. Let Lurch keep coming up with abject silliness just like he did today. He can keep performing as Trump's court jester right into the first half of Trump's second term.

They were definitely aided by a British ex spy paid by a democratic committee representative and oversaw by the wife of an FBI agent

VP of ads from Facebook disagrees with that premise.

Poor guy, at minimum his job will be taken from him. Most likely he’ll be dragged out in the streets like a Christian in Mosul.

The doc's on Flynn are missing? Maybe they were accidentally wiped from a server with bleachbit, and are therefore unrecoverable. Or maybe the the hard drive was accidentally destroyed and disposed of. But however the records were lost, it was an accident. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Maybe there is ambiguity in the term "meddling" in that poll. Some may have interpreted that to mean "successfully affected the outcome" while others interpreted it to mean "attempted to affect the outcome." The 28%ers are probably in the former category. It depends on what the word "is" is.

I don't know anybody who doesn't believe that the Russians tried to influence the election. I also don't know anyone who believes they succeeded in influencing the election.

For starters, Russian attempts to meddle in US elections have happened long before Trump:

Over the course of 11 presidential elections between the end of World War II and the fall of the Soviet Union, we identified three secret attempts to influence an election.

• 1960: Through his ambassador to the United States, Mikhail Menshikov, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev offered Adlai Stevenson help from a secret propaganda campaign. However, Stevenson declined the offer. He lost in the Democratic primary to John F. Kennedy.

• 1968: The Soviet Union’s ambassador to the U.S., Anatoly Dobrynin, offered to secretly fund Hubert Humphrey’s campaign against Richard Nixon. Humphrey declined the bribe.

• 1976: Fearing that anti-communist Democrat Henry "Scoop" Jackson stood a good chance at winning in the wake of Nixon’s resignation, the KGB began a smear campaign. Soviet spies forged FBI paperwork to make it appear Jackson was secretly gay and sent the fake reports to newspapers around the United States during the election and for years after.

They've been meddling in European elections since the '60's too, where Trump was never an issue. They will still be meddling with US elections when Chelsea runs.

You left out the key republican who considered the investigation a "hoax" and a "witch hunt," and who curiously spoke favorably of Putin's claims of innocence in the matter.

But hey, keep the GOP ball rolling!

Republican FBI Director James Comey sacked by Trump after considering "this rush-er thing".

Republican Attorney General Jeff Sessions** recuses himself from 2016 election Russian meddling probe.

Republican Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein** next in line, takes over reins of meddling probe.

Republican Former FBI Director Robert Mueller appointed as Special Prosecutor wrt meddling probe.

Republican FBI Director Christopher Ray** appointed as Comey's replacement.

**bona fide Trump appointment

I'd like to know what has changed with kids that makes them want to shoot up a school

No one over the age of 40 ever had this as a part of their lives.

Prior to 1985, you could even buy full auto machine guns - so guns laws, even though some people think otherwise have become stricter.

I'm not even going to try to suggest what that is with an educated guess but there are some factors.

Young kids laugh at the idea of violent first person shooter video games, but those weren't around until the early to mid 90's which is the start of school shootings

Also a good portion of these kids are on the spectrum and/or receiving drugs for some mental disorder - again - it wasn't until the mid 80's that there was a push to socialize these kids with general population. Now its expected that these special needs kids are mixed in with the standard students which has to bring on some anxiety.

Divorce was rampant in my generation - half the kids in my redneck bumpkin school had parents that were divorced, although I will say that a huge majority of them still had a strong male in their life.

School shootings predate social media so I don't think that is an issue - although I can see how social media can expedite the process.

I really don't know but I think we as a country should invest some time trying to figure it out. Its not easy access to guns. When I was a kid you could buy a semi-auo at J.C. Penney (I bought a Winchester 190 there, along with a 10 speed bicycle), Sears had their own brand of gun - J.C. Higgins, and before that it was Ted Williams, Kmart had a gun section and even sold hand guns, plus there were at least 3 other places that are now defunct - Uncle Lees, Howards and Woolco that sold hunting rifles and ammo.

Something has changed that makes this permissible in the mind of a psychopath where it once was never entertained.

this is off one of those hardcore websites, but Kim Dot Com does carry a little bit of credibility - in other words - he is capable of knowing what he is talking about. The Seth Rich thing is clearly conjecture

--------------------------------------

In response, Dotcom tweeted "Let me assure you, the DNC hack wasn't even a hack. It was an insider with a memory stick. I know this because I know who did it and why," adding "Special Counsel Mueller is not interested in my evidence. My lawyers wrote to him twice. He never replied. 360 pounds!" alluding of course to Trump's "400 pound genius" comment.

Dotcom's assertion is backed up by an analysis done last year by a researcher who goes by the name Forensicator, who determined that the DNC files were copied at 22.6 MB/s - a speed virtually impossible to achieve from halfway around the world, much less over a local network - yet a speed typical of file transfers to a memory stick.
Image
The local transfer theory of course blows the Russian hacking narrative out of the water, lending credibility to the theory that the DNC "hack" was in fact an inside job, potentially implicating late DNC IT staffer, Seth Rich.
