So the SEC has probably its weakest overall lineup of teams and worst combined bowl record in a few decades - so what do we have in the NC game?
Hard to really root for either of these teams but have to chuckle at the thought of the haters anguishing over the result.

I’m calling it the Sodom vs Gomorrah Bowl.

Although, in the final analysis, my reasoning is thus:

1. Alabama is the evil.
2. Georgia is not.
3. Go Dawgs.

I never root for UGa. No exceptions.
There may have been some rare occasion when I refrained from rooting against them, but that's still a tossup for this game.

Yeah, Florida fans and Georgia fans have a similar relationship as Auburn fans and Alabama fans.

I only remember cheering FOR Bama once: the '93 Sugar Bowl. I didn't like the team with the identical DNA, but I disliked the then-gang banging thugs even more.

Georgia fans can get obnoxious, no doubt. They are just like Bama fans but without the championships. But Bama fans are in a category unto themselves.

Georgia fans don't poison century old oak trees after a big loss.
Georgia fans don't throw bricks through their own coach's office window after a big loss.
Georgia fans don't simulate sex acts with passed out fans of other schools in a Krystals and post it to youtube. after a big win.
Georgia fans don't shoot other Georgia fans who were insufficiently angry after a loss.

etc etc etc

Bullshit. Such tomfoolery is not restricted to Bama fans, and there are plenty of shitheels in all major fanbases.

The 1988 meeting between Alabama and Ole Miss was the infamous "brick" game, after which a disgruntled Crimson Tide fan allegedly put a brick through then-head coach Bill Curry's office window. Many around the Alabama fan base continue to insist there never was a brick, though Curry has always maintained there was. He reiterated that assertion in a 2010 interview with AL.com, when he was getting ready to coach the Georgia State Panthers against Alabama.

Q. Is the brick story true?

Yeah. ... Why would anybody make up a thing like that? I just walked in my office, and there were glass shards around and there was a brick lying there. I thought, well, isn't that clever? And then I thought, since we completed zero passes the day before, if we had been as accurate as the guy with the brick, it wouldn't have been required that he throw it. We might have completed a few throws on Ole Miss and won the game. I mean, somebody missed their cool and threw a brick? Yes, it happened. I said, 'Don't tell anybody.' But it was out too quick. It was too bad. But nobody was hurt, so it wasn't a big deal.

The victim's sister, Nekesa Shepherd, said she witnessed the killing and had no doubt it was about football, even though it was unclear to investigators whether the violence was motivated by the game.

"That's one of the things we are investigating," Coker said Monday.

Nekesa Shepherd said Briskey flew into a rage when she saw the sisters and others joking that the Crimson Tide's loss wasn't as bad as if the NBA's Miami Heat had lost a game.

"She said we weren't real Alabama fans because it didn't bother us that they lost. And then she started shooting," Shepherd told The Associated Press.

Can you detect a pattern here? Sorry: whether you measure crazy in qualitative or quantitative terms, no fan base of any sports program has a record like that.

A "brick" story from nearly 30 years ago, you have to be fucking kidding me? I knew someone in the athletic dept who said there was no brick, but a window was broken and no one was sure if it was a fan or a mower because the grass was being cut that day. But whatever. It means nothing. 30 fucking years ago. Jesus. And youtube videos? Christ on a cross.

I mean I could counter with a former Auburn player being arrested for child porn, an Auburn fan who was arrested for killing dozens of fucking kittens and all manner of alcohol related arrests - then post the story of the Auburn fan arrested for setting the Toomer trees on fucking fire. I won't post that shit hecause I am not an idiot who has no idea what the word 'anecdotal' means.

When you have millions of fans and to be designated a fan, all you have to do is say you're a fan and you're in the group. Welp, you will get some tree burners and kitten killers. The same as I could find people who say they're christians who do bad shit. Or republicans. Or any significantly large group with non existent membership criteria. Or I could point out Jeffrey Dahmer was an Ohio State guy or the Unibomber went to Michigan and try to make a sweeping generalization, but again, I won't. I won't because I am not a petty, lying, gossiping moron like prof.

tl;dr: prof, you are a petty gossip. A liar. A genuinely bad person. I really have nothing but contempt for you.

AA... are you... mad at me...?

30 years ago just means Bama fans have acting crazy for a long, long time. Along with "quality" and "quantity" of craziness, I should have added "longevity."

And unlike your friend at the athletic department, assuming he actually ever existed, Bill Curry was actually there when he saw the brick and the shattered glass. It was his office, and he says it really happened. Just read the article. The attempt of Bama homers cover that incident up by lying about it is an epic fail.

And all your huffing and puffing and trying to blow my house down can't make all those incidents about crazy Bama fans - documented by videos and newspaper articles, not me - never happened.

Mad? No. I do like occasionally telling you that you are a moron; a cock-gobbling sack of shit. An idiot. Read and re-read my post. If you had a modicum of intelligence, you would understand it. You either do not or you're too petty to admit it.

It's not that I don't read your posts or don't understand them. It's just that I don’t care. I renew my recommendation that you start taking large doses of equine strength laxatives immediately.

I agree. I think Bama will win. The confrontation between the master (Saban) and pupil (Smart) will look a lot like this:

Skip to 2:00 to see the end of the championship game.

I am more than happy to lump you in with Brad Lester if anecdotals are transitive now. In fact, you have always given off that smarmy, sicko, child porn vibe.

That must be it. Projection. Because you are just like like Brad Lester, you assume I am like Updyke. Hence your post. Now you post YouTube vids to kid movies? Trying to lure some more prey?

Hey, prof, you did cartwheels to draw me back in while I was going out of my way to avoid you, but nooo...I am retired now and we can make this a full-time thing if you want.

And I don't have to be nice like I have been. I can turn it up a notch or three if you want.

Let me know,

Yours,

AA

That reminded me of Unforgiven when Gene Hackman, after whipping Morgan Freeman, told him he was going to have to hurt him, but not gentle like before...
