Just got back from Dallas for a week
it was hot
Lee harvey could have mad those shots 1 out of 2000 times but the magic bullet didn't come from harveys gun
tour18 is a fun golfcourse
billybobs in ft worth was a lot of fun
don't waste your time at the casino on the oklahoma/texas border
some of the best houses I've ever seen north of dallas
lot of fake titties in dallas

Re: La Salle Explorers
I'm impressed that they're able to still make money off of the museum on the west side of DT Dallas. President Kennedy stayed at the old Rice Hotel (now the Rice Lofts) in DT Houston the day before. However, the building's owners kind of shrug their shoulders at that piece of trivia and concern themselves more with enforcing the noise ordinances for the bars on the ground floor.
The heat index in Dallas on Wednesday got up to 118 degrees and fuckers are stealing AC units left and right up there for the copper. Bastards.

Lee Harvey Oswald was an expert marksman in the military and could have made those shots 2000 out of 2000 times from his perch. They showed a 60 year old man making those shots and his marksmen rating was less than Oswald.crashcourse wrote:Lee harvey could have mad those shots 1 out of 2000 times but the magic bullet didn't come from harveys gun

Re: La Salle Explorers
So, we are starting to make the rounds for my rising High School senior. Visited Rice (his parents alma mater) and LSU (cheaper with scholarships). Going to Georgia Tech over labor day (my son wants to go to Dragoncon at the same time). Have to schedule Howard later, Texas and maybe Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Talked him out of Auburn. Oh yeah, will visit U.T. Dallas (the head of the department is a friend and colleague)

Schedule Howard...but if you do it during Homecoming you and your boy will love it, but your wife will make him go to GT.

Dealey looks tiny when you are there, I get the feeling that the shots weren't all that difficult when I'm there.
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

That was the only location/attraction I was at all interested in seeing when I passed through Dallas.

Re: La Salle Explorers
The Nasher is worth a visit in Dallas - and a rodeo in nearby Ft. Worth is de rigueur.

Computer Science and Business. He taught himself how to program, learning C++ and was in a Computer Science summer program at LSU (there were 2 high school students, everyone else was a sophomore or junior in college).AlabamAlum wrote:What field does he want to go into, Spacer?
I'd prefer LSU only because of the money or Howard's business school because my godson is in that program and his father knows how to get grants there (his oldest has so many grants and scholarships that she received money back when she graduated).

Howard loves to give money to talent. Plus, as a school focused on community responsibility, they try to keep costs of attendance low, overall.

It's a sore spot with me. Let's not talk about it. My blood pressure is up just thinking about it. Need a benzo and a beta.

When we played LSU in Atlanta last year, it was over Labor Day weekend. Those freaks for Dragoncon were everywhere.Owlman wrote:So, we are starting to make the rounds for my rising High School senior. I proudly took AFAM 040 at Carolina.

Georgia Tech.
Let him graduate in 4 years and if the economy is still alive I'll get him a job
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Re: La Salle Explorers
I don't know what to believe on Kennedy.
I consider myself a pretty decent shot and I know Oswald was using a bolt action piece of shit Italian rifle. I shoot 1 MOA all day long.
I've only passed by the book despository once and I don't really know the distances or the size of the target (obviously a man but neck to top of the head, shoulders???) - still its thru a scope a long distance on a moving target albeit a slow moving target.
i don't think I could have made those shots.
damn, thats a great idea - set up a gun range designed to recreate Oswalds shot with a convertible lincoln and a dummy in the back seat.
You could charge $35 a pop for 3 shots and make a mint.
