So, wait, you mean running a VPN on one device will affect my whole network or nope, it won't affect it?
I thought about getting rid of cable if Kodi worked pretty well but I like flipping quickly through the channels and Kodi is way too slow for that.

I like Kodi for live TV OK, if I'm looking to watch one specific thing, but channel flipping isn't a good use of it.
watching PPV events for free is however.
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

I need to figure out some things about how to best use it. There's a few shows that I need to catch up on now that I've gone through House of Cards and have no interest in Orange is the new black.

I thought you said you were asking for a friend. Why did you lie, Stu?Saint wrote:We got 3 months of IP Vanish for $20. I didn't notice any better load times and still couldn't access live TV channels but we just got it so I need to learn more about Kodi. If I installed the VPN on Fire stick, it shouldn't affect my other network devices, right?

hedge with a solid shot buckles saint's network of deceit
I would love to only have HBO/Netflix and amazon with access to every sporting event --likely could do that for less then 100 bucks a month
unfortunately I am married to the queen of the rest of the channels

I'm still thinking of going with a digital antenna and then Sling for the 20 channels we actually watch. My wife isn't quite that bad but she definitely watches shit I never watch

Re: MIT Engineers
I dropped the $170 cable package for the $29.99 spectrum package. I lost comedy central and FXX but otherwise I get everything I want to watch.
Any tv series I want to watch, I download the entire season from putlocker, throw it on my hard drive and let Kodi set it up as part of the package of stuff available to me.
Then we can watch it whenever in any room.
Probably not the most effective way but I have my VPN for downloading and this way its always available locally.
I just downloaded the entire season of Preacher, and 3 seasons of a show called The Ranch in about 20 minutes of effort.

a usb hard drive.
if you have a fire stick then you need to have a hard drive either shared on your computer or on your router.
I bought a wireless router with a usb port, and put the hard drive on it. So I have fire sticks at 3 different TVs in the house and all of them point to the hard drive on the router to stream video. They all just connect to that wireless router and I tell Kodi that I have videos on that network drive.
2tb Hard drive was $80. Router was $80. Have about 1200 movies and 90 complete TV series and have used 1.3TB so far.

Re: MIT Engineers
turned on the tv and hit 4 buttons and watched 3 Kentucky wildcats get picked
then hit another buitton and watched a replay of Jordan spieth playing golf
then hit another button and watched some WW1 miniseries on amazon and learned the Kaiser had plans to send 60 ships with 100,00 men to attack east coach and capture boston. I wish he had
then I hit another button and accessed contour tv and watched a pbs 50th anniversary sgt pepper for 20min
then the wife and I hit another button and got back in amazon for americans episode
I don't think I'd have the patience to download stuff
granted Netflix is 11/mos amazon is 99/year and cable is 159 month but it sure is convienient for less then 200 mos to see all that shit
