Re: Florida State Seminoles
Telling the Europeans they have to start paying their fair share for their own defense is not the destruction of our European alliance. If Merkel says "We Europeans must take our fate into our own hands," then it is about bloody time. Europe's GDP is as big as ours. They can afford it. And don't worry: if they get themselves in a jam, they'll call us like they did in 1917 and 1941, and we'll bail their chardonnay-sipping arses out, again. The destruction of key alliances abroad
The only foreign leaders in whose estimation our standing has been destroyed by Trump are the Iranian mullah's, Kim Jong Fat, Comrade Putin and Assad. They really enjoyed giving wedgy's to Obama for the past 8 years. Now they know they are no longer dealing with a feckless weakling US president. Our standing in the eyes of the Arab world and Israel are sky high now. Even CHINA is helping us with NoKo for the first time....the destruction of American standing abroad...
Yeah, all those poor people will lose their Obamacare with its $10,000 deductibles, $500 copays, and no choices. What a terrible loss....the elimination of health insurance for millions of people here...
Objection: assuming facts not in evidence....and the destruction of the climate (or refusal to help slow down the ongoing destruction) are all things that are causing harm for many if not all of us.

perhaps another example of the media telling what the people to think and the people ignoring them

Considering only 38% of the country approves of the job Trump is doing, I call shenanigans on that unidentified survey.
I did see a national poll by Yale University that said 7 in 10 Americans thought we should stay with the Paris Accords. Anybody can search Paris Climate Agreement Poll Yale if they want proof.

Fucker.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Just read the Post-Gazette editorial Leaving the Paris Climate Accord Would Hurt the U.S. A lot of really good points.
Couldn't find the poll. Did find where the Pittsburgh mayor was joining 64 other mayors to repudiate Trump's decision and to support the Accord regardless. Mayor also said 80% of the city voted for Hillary, and at least that amount wanted to stay with the Paris gang.
You meant Pittsburgh PA, right?

even Democrats are telling Hillary to STFU now and go away.
Ted Cruz thanked Elon Musk for switching to commercial airlines and giving up his newly acquired Gulfstream 650 as a show of how committed he is to stopping climate change.

No, they can't. They've become such a social state, they cannot adequately defend themselves and for years have relied on the U.S. In essence, we have been subsidizing their socialist system by paying for their defense and funneling a large part of our economy through trade deficits. The U.S. is at a position of strength and needs to use some of it to help its citizens have a better life.

I took down that link. I think there may have been a virus at that site and I don't want anyone else to have to deal with it.

Europe is so fucked up. Let me guess, these attackers were on a watch list because they traveled to Lybia or Syria recently. Too weak to defend themselves and the ONE thing they could do, close boarders, and they don't. Half their military is used to protect from within. If Europe stays this course then Ichabod on them, they're on their own.

Mayor Sadiq Khan warned Londoners that terrorist attacks are “part and parcel” of living in a big city in the wake of the September bombing in New York City.
“It is a reality I’m afraid that London, New York, other major cities around the world have got to be prepared for these sorts of things,” Khan told the Evening Standard. “That means being vigilant, having a police force that is in touch with communities, it means the security services being ready, but also it means exchanging ideas and best practice,” he continued.
Khan also condemned President Donald Trump’s proposed travel ban saying in May, 2016, that “London has proved him wrong,” in its inclusive approach to counter-terrorism.

Seems like a better statement would be " Terrorist attacks are “part and parcel” of living with Muslims."

Yeah, European democracies aren't doing enough to stop these suicide killers. France blew their chance to install a leader capable of eliminating all the bad hombres so they'll get what's coming to them . Maybe Germany won't make the same mistake; they know firsthand how successful an autocrat can be clamping down on dubious segments of society.sardis wrote:Europe is so fucked up.
