It just doesn't end, does it? Even Fox News panelists (Fox News contributors, not wet noodle lefties they bring on solely in order to shout down and ignore) are saying Trump has no credibility...

Although Karl Rove is still holding firm, talking about how he has spoken to a "top flight" lawyer who told him that none of this is technically obstruction of justice. As soon as he said that, the anchor said "so you don't have any problems with Bill Clinton on the tarmac either?" and he immediately started blubbering "that's different! that's different!"

Where is the Comey memo? I'd like to read it.

You gotta think bigger than that. How 'bout reading Comey's memo while listening to Trump's tapes?

I can't believe you need to read it. Trump says it didn't happen, so even if there is a "memo" by Comey, clearly it was intentionally falsified by him just to trap Trump. Trump's word is the only thing that needs to be trusted here. How can you even question that?

In Trump's defense, he's such an idiot that, although I doubt even he would try to give a direct order to stop the investigation, he clearly is clueless as to the optics of even suggesting or saying he "hopes" an FBI director would be able to "let something go". I don't know that it's technically obstruction of justice (although maybe it is), but at best it just looks terrible. Even worse, obviously, is to fire the guy when you don't get what you "hoped" for in a case like this. Clearly, his supporters don't give a shit, they are happy for him to run the US government just like he ran his business, but for people who prefer the rule of law (and order) as opposed to the rule of whatever yahoo happens to be president at any given time, it's a nonstarter, to say the least...

I'd like to hear those tapes too, assuming they even exist. Until then, I won't parade them around as "proof" of any conspiracy theory.

I'm sure when you are provided evidence of Trump's inappropriate or criminal behavior, you'll come up with some sort of excuse for him. You're as deep in the tank for him as anyone I've seen.

I actually agree with most of this. Everything except the "those who care about the rule of law" part. Anybody who was fine with Hillary's use of her family charity to launder bribes from foreign governments, or her home brew server arrangement, or the magically disappearing subpeona'd emails on that server and those of the IRS, or the AG-Clinton tarmac meeting, etc etc etc, has lost the right to say they care about the rule of law.

Take the Professor Tiger challenge: if anyone produces a reliable document/recording/email that shows Trump saying to the Russians words to the effect, "Let's make a deal. If you give me (fill in the blank), then I will give you (blank) when I become president" then I will immediately call for his resignation and/or impeachment. No excuses.

Furthermore, if anyone can provide a reliable document/recording/email showing that it was the Russians who caused blue collar voters in PA, WI, and MI to flip from Obama to Trump in the election, then I will immediately call for Trump's resignation and/or impeachment and call for a new election ASAP. No excuses.

Please feel free to flag this post for future reference, and throw it in my face if I fail to live up to this pledge.

Is that fair enough?

Except that Comey, under a democrat president, was allowed to complete an investigation of Hilary's service fiasco, and according to his judgement, there wasn't enough there to even send it to a grand jury, much less indict. You might not like that conclusion (clearly you don't), but at least Obama didn't fire him before he completed the investigation...

LMAO Press reporting that Putin would like to aid Congress in it's investigations. Sweet fancy Moses.

Mentioning the fact that Paul Manafort just got subpoenaed by the feds doesn't even move the needle now. Does it even matter, the ledger that showed Trump's campaign mgr tied to 12 mil earmarked for pro-Russian forces in Ukraine. The same summer that defense of Ukraine was taken out of the RNC platform by Trump's campaign. A head-scratcher at the time, as everybody on both sides of the aisle and all our allies were in total agreement about Ukraine's sovereignty. There were "tarmac-style" meetings between trump aides and Russians at the convention of course...prof would say there was absolutely no connection, no doubt. heh

As a helpful review...
Professor Tiger wrote:But firing any FBI Director without extremely good reason is a stupid thing for any president to do - especially when said FBI director is in the middle of an investigation of said president. I put this in the "Trump deserves every bit of criticism he gets on this one" column.

I concur and agree to the same terms Tiger has stipulated. But as of right now, I am of the opinion someone at the DNC had Seth Rich murdered because he was the leak and gave WikiLeaks the 30,000+ emails. And I think Seth did that because he was a Bernie supporter who was just pissed off at both Debbie Wasserman Shultz and John Podesta. I doubt HRC would have ordered the hit after Vince Foster.

Or maybe HRC DID order the hit and made it look like the DNC did it.

The private investigator who revealed the contacts between Rich and Wikileaks, on camera, completely changed his story the next day. Hillary obviously got to him, and told him he would be next if he didn't back off. Same for Rich's family.

It's all right there.

It's bad enough that Hillary had Seth Rich whacked, but now she has Roger Ailes sleeping with the fishes.

Connect the dots, people.

So Donnie has labeled the Mueller Investigation - set up by Rosenstein - as the "greatest witch-hunt of all time." One wonders how that compares to Trump sending investigators to Hawaii to hunt for evidence contrary to oprama's claim of citizenship. Or how about the hunt to find oprama's illegal wiretaps of Trump Tower.

Trump stood before the cameras in January and said there had been no meetings between his campaign and any Russians - zero. So far the count stands at two dozen, give or take - with the cost of one National Security Advisor and the embarrassing recusal of the current Attorney General. He needs to shut his pie-hole about witch-hunts and offer the WH's cooperation in straightening out a story that they've mangled since day one.
