For starters, there is no "intense liberal hostility", as you put it in your usual hyperbolic style.
The number of times that liberals have called Trump voters "racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic..." etc. etc. etc. are too many to count. And those are the harshest terms in the progressive vocabulary.
It's more of a shake-yer-head sadness at the gullibility of so many rust-belters, the one's who lost their manufacturing or coal job and BY GOD aren't willing to consider ANY option but the work they used to do. The one's who turn their nose up at any mention of re-training, even if it's free, because they only want to do what they and their daddy have always done. They don't want any more education, period.
So blue collar Rust Belt Trump voters are gullible, too lazy to get retrained, and too stupid to understand their best interests. Is that a fair summary of your view of them?
And there you have it. You assign "lazy and stupid" to my comments and I said neither. 'Unwilling to consider other options' is stubbornness where I come from. Trump has exploited their pigheadedness by making promises that he'll almost surely not deliver on, hence the gullible part. I will add this: their naivety isn't boundless, and even now the cracks are starting to show.

So I stand by my 'shake-yer-head-sadness'. This from a Forbes piece yesterday: Individual profiles of Trump voters feed this baffling narrative. A Washington Post story described the experience of Clyde Graham, a long-unemployed coal worker who depends on the ACA for access to health care. He voted for Trump knowing it might cost him his health insurance out of his hope of capturing the great white unicorn - a new job in the mines. His stance is not unusual.

Otoh, the guy is probably lazy, stupid, racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic etc...so he can esad. ta da

Speaking of capturing white unicorns, the latest attempt to find the "smoking gun" proving collusion between Trump and Putin crashed and burned today with Sally Yates. With each passing person "with a story to tell" that will impeach Trump, the story proves to be a lightning bug instead of the hoped for lightning bolt.

10 months into the 'Russian situation' - the congressional committees have only been up and running a couple of months and no Trump people have been called yet - and you're ready to call it quits.

Whereas the Benghazi consulate attack occurred in Sept 2012, and the NINTH investigation didn't pack up until November 2015, over 3 years later. I don't remember you moaning about the pace of that investigation, just sayin'.

Maybe the Trump Russia investigations will eventually produce something.

But right now it's like watching North Korea missile launches.

the problem is that there hasn't yet been anything that would resemble a real investigation. And, i doubt we'll see any change there any time soon.

Feminism: Eve eats ALL the apples, gives God the middle finder when He confronts her, and has the serpent serve Adam with an injunction ordering him to both stay away from her AND to provide her food and shelter because he dragged her out of the Garden.

It's all part of Operation Makesafe. Who could complain about something with that name?

And now Comey has been fired. Can't wait to hear the excuses from the peanut gallery on this one...

Comey managed to infuriate both sides. Hillary blames him for her losing the election. Conservatives blame him for not indicting Hillary. I don't think he is a very good FBI director.

But firing any FBI Director without extremely good reason is a stupid thing for any president to do - especially when said FBI director is in the middle of an investigation of said president. I put this in the "Trump deserves every bit of criticism he gets on this one" column.

I'm sure the thought of you placing this action in that category will strike fear in Trump's heart...

Step 1: Be rich.
Step 2: Don't bother voting. Give money to D and R.
Step 3: Profit.

I vote L. And I'm not rich, so voting D or R gets me nothing.
