Air bases are generally fucking huge, and hardened, and with critical infrastructure spread out all over the place to avoid and spread out damage from missiles and bombs. 59 Tomahawks was never going to anything except send a message. If its anything like a normal base, 59 wouldnt even be enough to hit every building once assuming they all got there.
You don't need to assign a Tomahawk to take out the chow halls and latrines. There are airfield-killing versions of the Tomahawk that make runways look like the lunar surface, and it only takes two or three of them. If you crater the runways, it's no longer an airbase, except for helicopters. This strike was more theatrical than functional.

How much do those things cost? I'm guessing it was an expensive message...
A good question. Here's the answer: one Tomahawk costs a little over a million dollars. So this one missile strike cost about $60 million. Interestingly, the long reign on the Tomahawk missile has already come to an end. The Navy wasn't planning to buy any more after she his year.

https://www.google.com/amp/www.marketwa ... B7B5C1C318

That explains why the Navy expended so many Tomahawks on this diva strike. They were emptying their shelves to make room for the next big thing.

A refreshing new approach in the political world....

This is Dianne Bentley. As her 50th wedding anniversary approached, she discovered her husband was having an affair with a woman 30 years his junior. Her husband happened to be the governor of Alabama, Robert Bentley.

How did she react? She sought the help of a staffer to record his calls on her iPhone, archived his iMessages, filed for divorce, moved out of the Governor's Mansion, and referred her compiled evidence to the state ethics commission for review.

Unlike some wives in political sex scandals, Dianne Bentley did not "stand by her man." Her ex-husband - the Governor - sent state police to every corner of the state to seek out any evidence she collected. The Governor himself approached Mrs. Bentley's aide in a parking lot and threatened her. Mrs. Bentley's aide's car was vandalized. The mistress pressured Mrs. Bentley to publicly denounce rumors of an affair. Mrs. Bentley stood her ground and got the truth out.

Today, the Alabama House will consider a governor's impeachment for the first time in state history. Gov. Bentley abused his power and used state resources to continue an extramarital affair and keep it private. Gov. Bentley has not cooperated with any inquiry into his actions. The Alabama Ethics Commission referred to Gov. Bentley's failure to cooperate as "Nixonian," and considered his failure to cooperate as a separate ground for impeachment.

The state legislature may impeach Gov. Bentley and remove him from office. If that does happen, some kind of constitutional order will return to Alabama. The people of Alabama can thank Dianne Bentley, who decided not to take her husband's crap.

Incorrect. I just want them to stop highjacking, bombing, beheading, raping, torturing, enslaving and machine-gunning innocent people all over the world in the name Allah.

That's not too much to ask.

Maybe Mrs. Bentley should run for governor, win, and serve in her husband's stead, just like Lurleen Wallace did. That would be a hoot.

She might run against Tommy Tuberville, former Auburn football coach, who appears to be running.

The audiotape, and others like it, are what started his demise:

Sean Spicer has taken several for the team but today has been a particularly red-letter press briefing given by Sir LiesAlot. "I am going to butcher the Holocaust and Hitler's role in it SO badly that no one will remember WHO resides in the WH, much less whether they're the subject of 3 separate investigations or not."

Bravo.

When Syrian President Bashar al-Assad crossed former US President Barack Obama's "red line" by using chemical weapons, instead of responding with military force, Obama made a deal — but now former Obama administrations are saying it may not have worked.

“If the Syrian government carried out the attack and the agent was sarin, then clearly the 2013 agreement didn’t succeed" in eliminating Assad's chemical weapons, Robert Einhorn, the State Department special adviser for nonproliferation and arms control under Obama told the New York Times.

Tick, glad you mentioned Susan Rice. Here is an audio clip where she bragged about a deal that removed chemical weapons from Syria:

Perfect. The MSM is finally admitting that staffers of the President-elect were being spied on by the Intelligence Community run by the President of the other party. This is precisely what Trump has been accusing, and exactly what the Russian Bed-Wetting Guild has been denying, for weeks. That's real progress.

Think about that for a moment. The Democrat President's intelligence services were targeting the staff of the Republican President-elect, plain and simple. Nothing Nixonian or "dangerous to democracy" about that.

This also proves that the illegal leaking to the press of classified information is still going on. How else do CNN and AP have the names of two Trump aides that were being spied on? That's supposed to be a secret, no? Who committed the felony of leaking that secret information to the press, and why? Let me guess - it was... the RUSSIANS!!!

Man, Tick, you just shared some great info for Trump supporters. I'm not sure why, but keep up the good work.

Comically, the WH says Page had nothing to do with the campaign yet at the same time they're pointing to this as proof that the campaign was being illegally surveilled.

Equally comical is Professor Tiger's passion that any revelations wrt what these crooked traitorous sumbitches were up to should be disallowed because they have 'special campaign immunity.'

Anyone from Tennessee here? I'd like to weigh in on this Tad Cummings nonsense....

http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/20 ... 100019738/

She is going to get the divorce, no problem. She'll also get a judgment for lifetime alimony. She'll never get a dime since his working days are... over. They are going to find him. And catch him. He can't use credit cards on the run. Eventually, he is going to run out of cash. And if they saw him and Elizabeth in Oklahoma, then he is already in violation of the Mann Act, so this is federal.

They did the ole Amber Alert in Tennessee. I don't agree with doing that. Ted is a criminal in that he is engaging in sexual acts with a minor, but he is not a kidnapper. Elizabeth is post-pubescent so Ted is not a pedophile. She went willingly with Ted and (as such) is probably not in any life-or-death danger. She could probably get away any time she really wants to. And until Ted runs out of cash, she is not going to want to get away. She is having way too much fun being on the run, being the center or attention for much of the country, and hopping up and down on Ted's dick. Either way, Ted IS a criminal and will get (probably) 10 years in federal, pound-him-in-the-ass-prison, for violating the Mann Act, that is if Tennessee doesn't get him first for statutory rape. If I was Elizabeth's dad, forget the police, I'd just want to be left alone in a room with Ted for 5 minutes and justice would be served.

Ted is a criminal in that he couldn't wait for Elizabeth to turn 18 (age of consent in Tenn.) She's just 15. But what I find interesting is that if Elizabeth had been just 16 and if Ted met her in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, or North Carolina, it would not have been a crime. They don't typically prosecute for infidelity and 16 is the age of consent in those states. His is a crime, mostly of geography. Had they met in the other states I listed (all of which border Tennessee), Ted probably would have waited until Elizabeth's 16th birthday... and none of us would ever have known about this.

I don't think the $4500 he has in cash is going to last them that long. We'll see. Hopefully, God willing, this will not end in tragedy.

A 50-year-old teacher woos and romances a child for months -if not years- before running off with her at age of 15 and you're generally okay with it? I can't even...

Also, in Alabama there is a law against school employees having a relationship with students. So, even at 16, it wouldn't matter.

Aside from his manipulation of her, there is also some evidence that he threatened her: http://www.al.com/news/huntsville/index ... mas_3.html

If they want to give him a lethal injection, I'll start the IV for free.

I'm sure IB doesn't think this is grounds for divorce and that the guy's wife should just accept it. Certainly she doesn't deserve any money from the guy, right IB?

"She went willingly with Ted and (as such) is probably not in any life-or-death danger."

I guess IB skimmed over this part of the article he linked:

"Moreover, evidence has surfaced that (Elizabeth) became fearful of Cummins' reaction to his suspension and her belief that he would punish her in some way for it," according to the court filing obtained by ABC.

The father alleges in the court filing that Cummins picked up Thomas from her house for a meal, "threatening her that if she did not go with him she would face repercussions at school,"

In IB's world, women are property so the person who really has been injured here is the girls father.
