I only definitely recognize one of those people and I think the guy in the Carolina is jersey is Kobe. The rest, I have no idea. I didn't realize how little I watch sports anymore.

The only one I didn't recognize at first was Dwight Howard. All of them should be wearing UNC jerseys though.

I guess it doesn't count but Dirk Nowitzki would have played for UK if he had the chance

Since I always lose badly anyway I just said screw it and did a bracket based on cumulative stats where I ended up with a few upsets and still ended up 1's and 2's in the final four.

Actually, the only guy who really did say he would have gone to UNC is Dwight Howard. I always heard that Garnett was going to UNC because Shammond Williams is his cousin. I always heard Kobe was going to Duke, not UNC. There was speculation about LeBron going to UNC because he liked Jordan but that was always a moot point.

I do remember Hedge's brother telling me about this German guy named Nowitzki that Henrik Rodl was supposed to deliver to UNC but I'd never heard of Nowitzki at that point. A short while later, everyone knew about him. I had seen that story on him going to Kentucky before.

Kobe wanted to play for K. Garnett wanted to play for Kentucky but he would have been Prop 48, so he went pro. LeBron was a good money OSU bet...that is the football team he loves. The rest idk about.

Kentucky with KG and McGrady (KG a Junior and TMac a freshman, I think) would have been a problem. Even Tubby's kid couldn't have ruined that squad.

Nevermind, Garnett came out in '95. I knew it was one of the years UNC went to the FF but thought it was '98.
