How are those photos relevant, prof? Did Schumer or Obama deny talking to them? Were those meetings at the height of the hacking situation? Did Schumer or Obama mislead or lie about those meetings to Congress?

Of course Pence and Hillary don't measure up exactly the same. Seems everybody is weighing in with the opinion that governor of Indiana is as significant as a pimple on a boar's ass.

Still. I enjoyed watching the vids of Pence bashing Hillary's emails. Who doesn't love a good irony..seriously?

And the best part...I went out and bought a new pontoon this a.m. and used some of my glut of trumpbucks. Swear to god, the dealer was crowing about sales being up "because we've finally got our man in the WH."

According to the current liberal rules of engagement, any contact between any US senator and any Russian official is highly suspicious, possibly treasonous, and warrants a special prosecutor. Never mind that a Russian diplomats' whole job is to schmooze with American bigshots. And US senators have meetings with foreign diplomats frequently as part of their jobs.

For example, 7 Democrat Senators had meetings with the same Russian ambassador that Sessions did.

https://www.google.com/amp/www.foxnews. ... s.amp.html

The meetings between the Democrat senators and the Russian ambassador are nothing. They are a normal part of being a US senator. Same for Sessions. Go find another crazy McCarthyite conspiracy theory to obsess on.

I don't think that it will amount to anything, but the difference is he lied to Congress, or he came damn close.

Ive met Sessions numerous times. Never got the impression he was dirty. Can't say that will all the pols I have met.

He says the question posed to him was in the context of the campaign, as in, "Did you have any contact with the Russians to discuss campaign strategy or cooperation?" I don't have the transcript, but that explanation is plausible.

These same Democrats had no problem with a sitting Attorney General having secret meetings on a tarmac with Bill Clinton to brief him on the ongoing investigation of his wife. Their outrage is theatrical and laughably selective.

It is also short sighted. It won't be long until Trump really does something that is blatantly impeachable. But if the Dem's keep freaking out over chicken feed like this, fewer persuadable people will buy it. They should quit crying wolf until there really is a wolf.

I disagree.

This is, at best, deceptive and obfuscatory on Sessions part. It's not something false or made-up. He said, in front of Congress, in a hearing, "I did not have communications with the Russians." Now can he invoke deniability by saying, "Oh, sure, I talked to Russians, but I meant we didn't discuss the campaign when we talked."? I guess he can. It's what he's doing now, but asking him these questions is not a 'boy crying wolf' scenario and it needs to be asked. Directly and pointedly.

Questions about the Russians is very relevent now because our own intelligence agencies believe the Russians worked to influence the results of a presidential election. That in mind, we should have no tolerance of obfuscatory or deceptive half answers in regard to a question about dealings with the Russians in a hearing in front of Congress. And when we get those deceptive half answers, appropriate follow-up should be granted.

There is no doubt that the Russians tried to influence our election. There is also no doubt that they failed.

There was only one election in the past cycle that was truly hacked. That was the Democrat primaries. That election was intentionally rigged in Hillary's favor. If it was a football game, the superdelegate system gave Hillary a 21 point lead at kickoff. And the leaked emails showed the DNC Chair getting debate questions from CNN and slipping them to Hillary, creating a totally unfair competitive disadvantage for Bernie.

That's not a McCarthyite conspiracy theory about a stolen election. That was a real stolen election of one of the two political parties that actually happened. If the Dem's want to freak out about a "stolen election," they should start there.

PS: I stood on a dais with Senator Shelby once. He did a tour of the federal prison in Aliceville just before it opened. I wouldn't call it a "meeting" like you had with Sessions, but it was still cool for a deplorable like me to shake hands with a US senator.

I don't remember any Democrats having a cow when then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton got huge donations from - gasp - the RUSSIANS! - about the same time that she was giving them control over 20% of the US uranium supply.

And I suppose prof will follow his new champion down the "obama WIRETAPPED ME!! TERRIBLE!" rabbit hole.

Will you, prof? Since you've apparently hitched your star to the guy you formerly referred to as a lunatic and a public menace - are you going to back Trump to the very end?

No. I still think he is a lunatic. I'm just waiting for him to do something really lunatic before I put his ear on a string. It won't take long. And when he does, I'll mind your pikes and torches for you. But until then, the spectacle of watching the Democrats suddenly becoming all concerned with ethics from their leaders is frankly hilarious.

Good to see that your support for Trump is conditional. Seems you hung back when Trump was all about finding oprama's real birthplace. too. That was smart.

As far as dems having cows, does it have to be pointed out again that there were 9 Benghazi hearings? The fear from the minority party and others is there won't be ANY hearings regarding Russian meddling in the last presidential election. Say what you will about her but Hillary faced the music under oath, at one stretch over 6 hours. Let's see how Manafort would fare in that kind of setting...or son-in-law Kushner..or even the big guy himself. That'd be must-see TV, right?

There's all kinds of accusations going back and forth about whether the Obama administrative tapped the phones in Trump Tower to see if Manafort was a Russian spy. It's hard to tell fake news from real news these days, and I'm content to let it play out in an investigation. But if it is true that the outgoing POTUS was using his intelligence apparatus to snoop around the private communications of the presidential candidate of the other party, based on a flimsy pretext of "The Russians are coming the Russians are coming!", that would be ugly bigly.

Big news breaking: Trump seen having Russian dressing on his salad while eating with his cabinet members over the weekend. More on this shocking turn of events as we get them!
