You'd have to think it was something more egregious than "you suck", but from the looks of the dork they collared, that seems about the extent of sass he could muster. OK. the story I got 2nd hand from a reporter at the game is that the fan (and this reporter didn't hear it himself) made a 9/11 reference (Pitino's brother-in-law died at WTC) and also called him a "faggot."

I think it was the combination of the 2.

No doubt it's a black eye to our academic reputation, but I'm pretty sure it's taken for what it is. UNC is still highly rated and highly regarded in terms of overall academics. The vast majority of applicants that get turned down at UNC would be accepted at UK or pretty much any SEC school save Vandy, and in fact that's exactly what's happening. Tons of kids around here who would've gotten into UNC back in the day are all going to SEC schools now, mostly USC, Ole Miss (for some reason) and Georgia. So yeah, the whole AfAm thing is embarrassing, but I don't think it's hurt UNC from an academic standpoint, not in any lasting way, anyway...

Ole Miss is a party school with lots of hot chicks. That's why they're heading there...

Mizzou player landed on Fox's leg and bruised him up last game. He played but was in pain. He is now a game time decision for tomorrow.

I would assume that is an overall net loss for the team going into a game with Florida, but at this point I don't know. You don't know what team you're going to get at this point.

Living on the East Coast, I have never really seen Jeanie Buss up close. I knew she dated Phil [Jackson], but that was as far as it went. So I decided to Google her. About the 20th image appeared to be a Playboy picture from the ’90s. I had no idea. A little more digging turned up actual pages from the May 1995 edition — and right there in black and white it says, “She’s also on the board of the Lakers — whose part-owner Magic Johnson recently asked her, ‘When are you and I going to start running things around here?’” Are you kidding me? They’ve been plotting this for more than 20 years and Jeanie dropped the idea in the middle of a Playboy spread? What makes it even creepier is knowing the thing that got this whole thing rolling is that Magic reached out to check on Jeanie after Magic heard she and Phil broke up. Per ESPN, “Jeanie Buss said this new role for Johnson really began coming together in earnest in January, when he reached out to her after she and longtime fiancé Phil Jackson split.” I’m speechless. This seems like it could go any number of ways.

Neil Fingleton, the 7-foot-plus player that epitomized the recruiting folly of Bill Guthridge, died at age 36. Not sure of the reasons as I just saw on Twitter. Also didn't realize he was on Game of Thrones.
