Nice self-sassage, BRM. You probably did a better job than hedge would have done on you.

At first I thought you wrote "self-sausage" and I was thinking that would be a hell of a sausage...

There's no doubt that if BRM could stuff himself inside sausage casing, he would try to eat himself.

Forced and unfunny. Revise and submit again.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

eh...you can't get wound up on that.

Just make sure you hit the British Museum (free ,btw) early. I got there late and had to rush thru. Huge regret

speaking of vacations, next year the wife and I will be married 20 years.

Want to do something memorable for her so we initially talked about going to a Sandals or similar.

But from the other discussion, you guys know how I feel about spending a day at a beach, much less an entire week. To me a vacation where you're entire week is on a property that may be 1500 feet of beach and a large pool just doesn't sound that much fun. Also, I despise Jamaica , if a meteor was ever going to hit the planet, I'd want Jamaica to take one for the team. Of course I have plenty of other all inclusive options all over the carribean

but I watched Shane, saw Jack Palance and thought of City Slickers, and I pitched her on the idea of going to a dude ranch. Her initial reaction was she didn't want to smell leather and horse ass all day (not sure why she married me then but I digress) but I found at least two that also have white water rafting, ATV rentals. mountain hiking of course and a wine tasting from local wineries. Prices are about the same as all inclusive and they have adult only weeks in September.

Locations are Colorado , Montana and British Columbia. Several of them in Arizona too but I can't shake sand and oppressive heat when thinking of Arizona.

She grew up riding horses so she said she would consider it if I could find one where they just gave a horse and we could go ride wherever and not have to do the trail ride routine with other people. Her words were I don't want to have to ride next to a guy that is more concerned about the lasagna at dinner than the horse (again, why did this woman marry me?)

So I'm looking into it.

No cruises and we kind of like the idea of all inclusive. Any other suggestions for a memorable vacation that doesn't require me dunking myself in SPF 9000?

I still think Paris is better but London is definitely second best, IMO

I haven't had a chance to go to any cities in Italy yet though. I might change my mind after that.

I mean it's 10 months away and at rates never this low in my lifetime. If it goes back to what it was 10 months ago, thats more than a 33% increase. I'm only really worried as far the hotel costs go, much easier to budget the rest after being there. I'm almost tempted to just go to the bank and buy some pounds now.

The British know how to build a museum. They are the worlds hoarders

I would. But I'm a bird in the hand kind of guy. I would not be overly upset if the pound tanked down the road.

I think we'll probably end up hitting the Tate Modern too. I cut out maybe like 20 from my initial list.
