Tom Brady is the best that has ever been. He would have been the best that has ever been even if he had gone 3-4 in Superbowls and not 5-2. And Tom is actually close to 7-0, the Giants games were that close. The fact that he is not retiring and is likely going to win one (or more) Superbowls just reinforces what everyone should have already known about the GOAT.

Yeah, but their wins over the Seahawks and the Falcons were even closer and should've been lost. You put the Pats in the same position against the Atlanta midway thru the 3rd quarter that they were in Sunday and they lose 99 times out of 100. Against the Seahawks, Seattle was at 2nd and goal on the one yard line with Marshawn Lynch as their running back and they chose to throw a pass that got intercepted. Granted I don't think there's a 99% chance that Lynch scores with 3 attempts to gain a yard and the victory, but I'd say it was close to 90%. So yeah, the Pats were the victims twice in games that they probably should've won, but those were offset by their last two Super Bowl wins, which were, even if you can't put a definite percentage on it, you can surely say they were highly unlikely...

Yes hedge, that is correct. The drop from Brady being 7-0 in Superbowls all the way down to 3-4, is a very shallow drop. All seven Superbowls were... close. The last 4 (Brady going 2-2), were exceptionally.... close. Sunday evening's game was so close, it went into OT.
