"This administration loves to just go it alone."

Trump is the only one who can fix it. He said so...

Trumps harangues the media and the intelligence community, constantly discrediting their accuracy and veracity. "Nazi Germany in the 30s." His people are instructed to belittle the MSM at every turn. Top intel officials are backbenched on the NSC; briefings are curbed.

Something big is going to pop, right? Or maybe it already has...and it just hasn't been fleshed out yet. npi

Obviously those who don't like him/didn't vote for him think that's already happened but, truthfully, he hasn't enacted any great changes. That doesn't mean he won't or isn't planning on it.

So I ask, what would Trump have to do to make you say, "Now hold on just a minute."?
we're going to have to get past what he said he'd do.

Now admittedly the green card thing came out of left field - but Trump isn't a nuance kinda guy when he has the leverage.

You also have to admit, its kinda funny that people lose their shit, take the day off and go protest every time Trump does something he said he was going to do and its only day 10 or whatever.

I might invest in poster boards and sharpies if this keeps up.

They still have to lose their shit over the Supreme court pick, infrastructure spending, military buildup, regulation repeals, Jeff Sessions, conflict of interest in business, building the wall, NAFTA, and Nato/EU/UN pullout.

At this rate, these protestors won't go back to work for another 2 months.

at some point he's gonna fuck me on something, but my advice to the protestors is you can't shoot your wad all at once. You've got 2 years of this coming at you.

as for the AG, I applaud her for taking a stand.

But she knew what was going to happen. She had at best a week left on the job

I always thought AGs truly believed they were independent of the White House - Nixon's AG resigned in protest.

Then came along Alberto Gonzalez. Then Eric Holder.

Independent Council isn't tolerated.

Different people get pissed about different things. I'm not really the protesting kind of guy. If I get to the point where I'm going out in the street, I'll have a weapon, not a sign, in my hands.

You're right that Trump is doing what he said he'd do but doing is different from saying, so you shouldn't expect people to react any differently than they said they'd react when he was just saying it.

I believe that Trump is going to push the limits of his power until he knows where he stands. People protesting are helping to define that limit.

wish he'd get to the tax code--that's a palpable changepeople can see.

like to see lot less regulation in business but more then that lot less fees and charges on stuff like cable and phone bills

got no problem with ignoring manmade global warming--not saying we don't contribute but geesus Christ the amount of green power influencing the last administration is castrating the common guy. we need cheap energy and more power.

if you think global warming is going to annihilate us I wouldn't worry to much--I can think of about 5-10 other causes of our annihilation much more likely

we will be able to adapt to a changing climate

Nice start on the military side for Trump. First action kills an 8 year old American girl.

well since her dad was ben ladens heir apparent unfortunately she was a casualty of being in the middle of an alqueda stronghold

lost a seal in that operation --love how the press and people like you are wanna blame trump for every woe to mankind--I though I was gonna throw up when I saw schumers fake little tears blaming trump for the muslim family he surrounded himself with at the news confermnece.

berfore we get all butthurt over this little girl be interesting to see what the target was whether we got the target and any other associated casulaties to alqueda

but of course you'll go on believeing seal team 6 just murdered that little girl without any provocation and Donald trump was the executioner

I mean we all know seal team 6 is just a bunch of ruthless baby killers
sad

So this morning the Senate Education Panel (chaired by Lamar Alexander R-TN heh) narrowly voted to approve Betsy Devos and send her confirmation request to the full Senate for a vote. A couple hours later various news organizations have reported that she plagiarized answers on her Confirmation Questionnaire.

This administration appears to be in the perpetual throes of waiting for the next shoe to drop.

she does concern but not for the reasons you'd probably think

I'm totally against vouchers which I think she is a big proponent of.

to me vouchers may help a handful of dedicated students but completely screw over the remainder as well as hurting the community as a whole.

Given the business he's in, odds are that he's got billions in debt to holders all over the world. He probably owes more to more people than any president in history. And, that's not even counting what the Russians have on him which it seems is driving some of his irrational behavior towards the intelligence community. But, I'm sure he won't let any of that influence his decisions. Nope, not at all.

Big surprise...

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/30/us/p ... .html?_r=1
The White House said on Monday that President Trump would leave in place a 2014 Obama administration order that created new workplace protections for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.

In a statement issued in response to growing questions about whether Mr. Trump would reverse the Obama order, the White House said the president was proud to embrace gay rights.

"President Trump continues to be respectful and supportive of L.G.B.T.Q. rights, just as he was throughout the election," the statement said. "The president is proud to have been the first ever G.O.P. nominee to mention the L.G.B.T.Q. community in his nomination acceptance speech, pledging then to protect the community from violence and oppression."

The decision to keep the order, the statement added, was Mr. Trump's. It uses stronger language than any Republican president has before in favor of equal legal protections for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people, though that is not likely to quiet Mr. Trump's critics on the left.

"I could see this as a set-up by Trump, who has never taken a hard line against gays. I can see them floating something like this to get everybody up in arms and then announcing that they would never pull the rug out from under LGBT's, etc, etc, and then he looks like a hero for simply maintaining the status quo..."
