They are not mutually exclusive. I am still for Romney. He was correct on immigration much the way Trump is.

You have to analyze correctly why it is (exactly) Trump won but Romney lost. There are many differences between these two men, many. But there is one difference in particular that pushed the pendulum for Trump. And no, it has nothing to do with the religion of these two men.

Its this.

I don't think Trump got quite as many popular votes as Willard Mitt got back in 2012. That is entirely because so much of the GOP establishment hates (or at least.... hated) POTUS Donald Trump. But that doesn't matter because there were so many POTUS Obama voters (tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands, maybe a million) in just the right states (Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, and most importantly, Ohio) that voted for Trump. These people absolutely, positively, would have voted for Hillary Clinton had any other candidate other than Trump win the GOP Primary. And even with Trump winning the GOP primary, they absolutely, positively would have voted for Bernie Sanders if given the chance. Fortunately, the GOP Primary voters were smart enough to not shoot themselves in the foot. Unfortunately, democrat voters were too stupid to make the correct choice.

Everything just lined up.... perfect. And it had to wind up that way, or we have POTUS HRC.

Its just math. All the demographic math is AGAINST the GOP. They start out at a supreme mathematical disadvantage. They don't win elections by getting more people to turn out to vote for them. They win elections ONLY by convincing just the right amount of democrat voters to switch sides. This past November, for the first time in a long time, the GOP did just that.

Too bad the muslim ban has taken most of the spotlight with what just transpired with the National Security Council and the demotion of the Chrmn of the Joint Chiefs as well as the Dir of National Intelligence..replaced in the starting lineup by Steve Bannon. From all indications the NSC is going to be a Bannon-Kushner production..and whatever semblance of legitimacy that extremely key body had for 70 years is now shot to shit.

There's something wayyyy too sinister about how Trump is disassociating himself from the intelligence community. It's as if all his attacks against our intel people and the media..are preemptive strikes, because he knows there's something embarrassingly yuge out there waiting to be revealed.
