I agree

I think it was more for the pain and suffering he went thru to shoot it

swimming down a frozen river, that kind of thing.
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

I remember they both came out about the same time and I preferred the Hateful 8

I'd put them in about the same category in terms of how much I liked them. Above average, but I doubt I'll watch either one again. Certainly Hateful 8 is middle of the pack in terms of Tarantino's work...

Wasn't The Revenant kind of a rip off of Jeremiah Johnson? I don't really remember much about that movie except that he got attacked by a bear and then became a mountain main and was befriended by Grandpa Walton (who was a gay former Commie in real life)...

I don't think Johnson was attacked by a bear was he? He didn't talk much though

JJ was a great movie. He trapped grizz and was attacked by wolves.

OK, I just looked it up. The movie I was thinking of was called Man In the Wilderness starring Richard Harris. Here's the bear attack scene. Damn, special effects have sure come a long way in 40 years. Note especially the initial contact by the bear. Jesus...

A man called Horse?

or maybe that was a John Holmes movie

That hanging scene in that movie is unforgettable

I get the feeling Richard Harris was typecast in the 70's

Goddamn, that was a 3 Stooges quality fight scene, including the fast motion edit of the mule doing the double back leg kick (which they used the same clip about 4 times). The horse whinny-ing also sounded sped up, to the point that it appropriately approximated Curly's "woo woo woo". If only he could've slapped his own face with his front hooves...

I'm watching a show about Elvis Presley right now. They haven't said it yet, but apparently he's dead...
