As you already indicated, you're probably the last person on the planet who is just getting around to watching Breaking Bad. I do appreciate your tact, but I think it's fair to say spoiler alerts aren't necessary in this case...

I still haven't watched it yet. I will sometime next year, I suppose.

Well, there's a "lone slacker" exception that allows the rest of us to talk freely without using the spoiler feature...

Yeah, I do agree I've forfeited my right to scream "spoiler." I already know the general story at the end...I'm interested in the journey, regardless. So, I would like to avoid spoilers, but not gonna raise the systolic when I run into one.

One of best shows ever - I agree re; the wife stuff - the comparison to the Sopranos is spot on

I do not watch these scenes if i am rewatching an episode -but you do need to watch them first time thru

wouldn't it have been great if Carmella got cut off by some woman at grocery store parking lot and then came home to Tony demanding that he kill her? And he's like damn woman, I can't be killing some random bitch at Publix, and then she's like "you're not a man, you're a little boy playing games, Richie (her ex boyfriend QB from high school) would kill her because he knows how to be a man and stand up for his woman"

yes, I am waay to invested in this concept, but lets face it, that's how a mobster's wife is gonna be. He ain't marrying some innocent girl from Long Island who doesn't know what it means to have a dad who runs a waste management company in New York.
that season 2 ending pretty much wrapped up my complaint - Skylar or whatever her name is leave's Walt's ass once she finds out he doing something behind the scenes. That plane crash came out of nowhere - that was awesome. Also watching them in a binge - in the first season they'd start off with a teaser that happened in that episode. The elmo like doll in the pool was every episode leading up to the season finale. Very Cool
the battle scenes are just as jarring as Saving Private Ryan

Logan's dad was part of the D-Day invasion. Not sure which beach he landed on. He died when Logan was like 11 or 12. Logan said he didn't talk about D-Day very much...

yea I follow that show - or used to - and my wife is straight up catty toward her. Doesn't like her at all.

Tarek seemed like a nice enough guy on TV but damn - suicidal running around with a gun? And this is after a cancer scare 2 years ago where viewers wrote in and told him he had a tumor growing in his neck and needed to get it checked out (true story - doctor told it was nothing, nurse watching show at home on TV and others said, its a tumor)

I watched a documentary a few days about this kid that was an alcoholic - nice guy really -as you get to know him in the documentary you feel sorry for him - shit life growing up, insane dad, mother who blames everyone but herself

kid finally checks into rehad and dies 17 days later - everyone at rehab wants it seem like he drank himself to death (which he was in bad shape health wise) but his doctor was just throwing drugs at him -then MotherJones does a story about rehab facilities and his story in general - and its an eye opener. This kid didn't have to die - even with his life choices, he was just mismanaged badly because there are few regulations for rehab facilities nationwide

documentary if you want to peg your empathy meter for the day

Along this same line, but at the opposite end, there's a good show on Vice network called Hamilton's Pharmacopeia. When I first saw it, I thought it was going to be talking about drugs in Alexander Hamilton's day (IIIEEE!! Iron bird! IRON BIRD!!), but no, it's hosted by this pharmacy geek named Hamilton (he's actually pretty cool) who goes around and does stories on various drugs and often partakes himself and describes what's happening to him (I've noticed that he only partakes if he's in a foreign country). Saw an episode last night about PCP, a.k.a. angel dust. No drug that I can think of has a worse rap that PCP, but he went to this old dude's house who snorted a few lines of it and then they went outside and the old dude was coherent and talking the whole time, describing how he felt, etc. He seemed to be enjoying himself. On the darker side of the story, he later interviewed this rapper named God's Messenger (or something like that) who had worked with Wu Tang Clan, anyway, this dude took some PCP and got to thinking about the three women who he had children by who all they wanted was his money and financial support for the kids and so under the influence of PCP he figured that the source of all his problems was his cock, so he cut it off. That was pretty sobering...
