No, I have absolutely considered it. I have a SIG-Sauer P220 in my safe that belonged to my late step father (retired US Marshall). I take it to the range every few months, plunk some cans, then clean it and put it up. I've got maybe 20 rounds left. If Trump is elected, 'm saving the last one for my mouth. Perfect angle and I'll put it through the medulla oblongata right before Putin moves into the Lincoln Bedroom.

That seems a little excessive, JD. I thought you said you were going to join the liberal Exodus to Canada. I like the thought of a Christian pastor like you raising your staff, parting the St. Lawrence Seaway, and leading that giant throng of atheists into the Promised Land.

I still don't think Trump will win. And like I said, I would have my own concerns if he did; my contingency plan is to build a fallout shelter and hoard gold.

But there will be one very bright spot to me if Trump wins. Watching the liberals and GOP Establishment react to it like the martians' heads react to Slim Whitman's yodeling will be worth... every... cent...

That would indeed be amusing, but I'm not sure that what would result would be worth it, or even close. OTOH, if Trump does somehow manage to win, I don't think it's going to be nearly the disaster many libs think it will be. It will be pretty much like having any other repub as president, the congress will roll on as they always do, pretty much irregardless of whoever is in the White House, and if it's Trump, probably even more so. None of the establishment pols like him and it could inaugurate an era of bipartisanship in congress that we haven't seen since WWII. I'm actually not so sure that's a good thing...

Liberal heads would've exploded with Cruz or any of the teaparty Bible-thumpers. Any of those would've North Carolinaized the entire country and you can bet there'd be lefties crying and knashing teeth and throwing tantrums for sure.

But this guy Trump is a quasi-authoritarian mental case who's going to leave everybody crying in the end. There's not going to be a wall, and there's not going to be mass deportations. His protectionist policies will mean higher prices, more inflation, and a bigger gap between the haves and have-nots. He doesn't know more than the generals or practically anybody else for that matter, except maybe some other real estate moguls. He's bombastic and crude and an incredible narcissist. Apparently that makes for great TV. I honestly don't get it.

Here's a thing, though. sardis said people would take a bucket of piss over Hillary. But to get to this point Trump had to beat 16 other contenders, none of whom were HRC. The Donald beat some seemingly-worthy opponents by channeling Mussolini and promising walls and deportations. Always remember that.

always remember the same American public elected a no name < 1 term senator from Illinois who had no foreign experience never did anything noteworthy as a senator and came out of nowhere to beat a career politician most people had already handed the party nomination to.
