"are you one of those that believe the CIA created AIDS to kill millions of black people?"

Even if they didn't do that, I wouldn't put it past them...

In 1932, the Public Health Service, working with the Tuskegee Institute, began a study to record the natural history of syphilis in hopes of justifying treatment programs for blacks. It was called the "Tuskegee Study of Untreated Syphilis in the Negro Male."

The study initially involved 600 black men – 399 with syphilis, 201 who did not have the disease. The study was conducted without the benefit of patients' informed consent. Researchers told the men they were being treated for "bad blood," a local term used to describe several ailments, including syphilis, anemia, and fatigue. In truth, they did not receive the proper treatment needed to cure their illness. In exchange for taking part in the study, the men received free medical exams, free meals, and burial insurance. Although originally projected to last 6 months, the study actually went on for 40 years.
During a press conference later, O'Mara was asked if he had any advice for Zimmerman, and he answered, "Pay me."

OOPS!
Trump Adviser, Son Post Image of Trump's 'Deplorables' Featuring White Nationalist Symbol
http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-el ... te-n646431

A white nationalist symbol has made its way into the latest back and forth in the 2016 presidential campaign.

Amid the flurry of statements about Hillary Clinton calling "half" of Donald Trump supporters a "basket of deplorables," — a reference to some of the Republican nominee's supporters who ascribe to views popular among the white nationalist-linked alt-right movement — informal Trump adviser and confidante Roger Stone tweeted a picture of the poster from the movie "The Expendables" altered as "The Deplorables." Donald Trump, Jr., one of Trump's sons, posted the same image on Instagram. The origin of the image is unclear.

The Photoshopped faces in the picture include Trump, running mate Gov. Mike Pence, Gov. Chris Christie, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Dr. Ben Carson, both of Trump's eldest sons, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, alt-right icon Milo Yiannopoulos, and Stone himself.

Prominently featured over Trump's right shoulder: popular white nationalist symbol, Pepe the Frog.

"Pepe the Frog is a huge favorite white supremacist meme," Heidi Beirich of the Southern Poverty Law Center told NBC News of the meme.

While Pepe the Frog may not be a household name, the meme is known to members of the alt-right on the internet.

"It's constantly used in those circles," Beirich said. "The white nationalists are gonna love this because they're gonna feel like 'yeah we're in there with Trump, there's Pepe the Frog.'"

Pepe the Frog, a cartoon amphibian, was popularized on the website 4chan, and became associated with the neo-Nazi movement.

The Trump campaign has been repeatedly accused of dog whistles to white supremacists and the alt-right, though his original position on support from these groups was ambiguous. When confronted with the support of prominent white nationalist and former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke in February, Trump stumbled in his initial disavowal of the man — telling CNN at the time, "I don't know David Duke. I don't believe I have ever met him. I'm pretty sure I didn't meet him. And I just don't know anything about him."

He later clarified that he disavowed Duke's support, though the former Klansman — now running for Congress in Louisiana — has continued to tweet messages of support for the Republican nominee.

Over the course of this campaign, Trump has retweeted Twitter accounts with names such as 'WhiteNationalistTM' and blasted out anti-Semitic images to his over 11 million followers on the social media site. Some members of his campaign have been tied to the alt-right, including Breitbart's Steve Bannon, who is now CEO of the Trump campaign. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton gave a speech shortly after Bannon's appointment linking Trump's campaign to the nationalistic movement and calling on the rest of the GOP to reject extremist views. Clinton has continued to argue that Trump has "given voice" those who engage in "offensive, hateful, mean-spirited rhetoric."

JD, are you one of those that believe the CIA created AIDS to kill millions of black people?

Inquiring minds want to know.
No. I believe the HIV virus is naturally occurring and for most of human history, existed in a small, isolated area in central Africa where the local population had a natural immunity. I concur with the theory that UN workers came in the 1950s, had sex with locals and brought the virus to other parts of Africa and the world. The virus mutated and - luck of the draw - one nasty mutation got into a gay/bisexual man who brought it to the USA in the late 1960s.
Good. You continue to prove yourself a reasonable and intelligent person. Now I won't have to ask you if you believe the story of Yacoub.

So that's it? That's the scary evil amphibian cartoon that is the encrypted battle flag of the KKK and the clandestine ensign of Nazi's?

Sorry, that's just WAAAAAY more silly than sinister. Another kook conspiracy.

On the bright side, I visited Senor Frog's in Cozumel last spring:

They have a great gift shop there. I bought a nice new set of bed sheets.

You may find it ridiculous but it's a fact that white supremacist groups use that frog as a symbol. The man you are going to vote for is now using it in his campaign. As a white supremacist yourself, I can see why you are having difficulty understanding the problem but the rest of us find it troubling. We're inching closer to 1930s Germany here.

KKK uniforms usually have crosses. Black churches usually have crosses. Does that mean black churches support the Klan?

I think we are steaming toward 1984 and not inching to the 1930s. What is racist about wanting to secure our borders?

I think we are in Moscow in 1916. Or maybe Rome in 475.

And 10ac, there is nothing new here. The liberals have been playing that "All Republicans are racist" card for 50 years. I can see why. For 50 years, all they've had to say is "you are a racist" to anyone who was saying anything they didn't like, and the conversation stopped. The conservatives just walked away with their tails between their legs for fear of being called a racist, and the liberals thought they had won the argument. Cletus just tried that tactic on me ("as a white supremacist yourself"), Hillary just used it on the "deplorables" a couple of days ago. JD tries to use it every time he posts. It's a very old tactic, and it has served them so well they have become addicted to it.

But the problem for the liberals is, that old game isn't working like it used to. Maybe because it's really hard to convince people that the same country that voted for a black man for president, twice, is the same country that they are always tying to portray as Birmingham under Bull Conner.

The statute of limitations of white guilt about very real evils like slavery (which ended 150 years ago) and Jim Crowe (which ended 50 years ago) is drawing to a close. The liberals sense that, and it is frightening them. That's why they are constantly coming up with kook conspiracy theories as an act of desperation, each kookier than the last. Just today, the two kook liberal conspiracy theories put forth center on cartoon frogs and the imminent conservative krystalnacht - maybe in places like Berkley and Boston and the Upper East Side. Yesterday, it was a sinister plot by Trump, who secretly sold one his mansions to another billionaire, who was also Russian, and made a profit, and the investor billionnaire didn't even live there. Oh the humanity!

You just can't make that stuff up.

I can't imagine why anyone would go to Cozumel and then end up at Senor Frogs. There are so many cool bars on that island and Senor Frogs is at the bottom of the list...

Using it in his campaign? Didn't his son (because he is in it) just retweet a meme photo, that somebody else made? It's hardly like he put Pepe the Frog on his website.
