I don't care for Crockett's pancakes. Too thick...or something.

Fresh orange juice and a fruit bowl, that's a healthy breakfast...

yea it was crazy. I initially ordered 3 and waitress was like "don't be a goddamned fool". We didn't even touch the cinnamon roll in the middle of the table.

They were good, but not pancake pantry good, but that cathead biscuit with over easy egg and sausage was great. I'm not a big food porn guy but that breakfast was over the top.

This was one of the better trips I've had there in awhile with the two new restaurants for us.

We are going back in July with the extended fambly and kids in tow, planning on renting a 6 or 7 bedroom cabin.

In the last 20 years I've probably been there at least 25 times. And I doubt I've gone there and dropped less than $750.

I wish I knew that 20 years ago. I would have bought a vacation home.

What happened to your compound / moon shine / buggery shack you had out in the middle of the woods?
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

More to the point, what happened to the compound/moonshine/buggery shack you call your home whilst the boy was left there alone for the weekend?

I have been there in like 18 months. I hired a dude to put in a septic tank , he took my money, stole my equipment and runoft to Florida and I got disgusted with the whole deal

really? how far did you ride them?

I guess I never had the chance.. the closest track to us was probably 10 miles away.

We didn't ride far at all, no more than a few hundred yards and then we'd hop off. I'm sure Stu did too, although I didn't know him back then.

There was this big area not far from my house that everybody call the dessert. Not sure what was going on there but it was just a large expanse of clay land that abutted the railroad track, maybe a mile long and half a mile wide. All the kids in the neighborhood used to go out there and smoke cigarettes and whatnot. There were a few ditch-like gullies about there and we'd set up ramps and jump our bikes over them. Eventually somebody got a mini-bike and we road that around out there. One of the older kids (Jessie Clayton, I think) caught the woods on fire one time. It was a fun place to hang out...

We hung out at the West Kentucky Wildlife Management Area which turns out was a cover name for the Gaseous Diffusion plant that was dumping nuclear waste on the grounds and into the water table.

good times.
