Rashness? He can send nuclear weapons anywhere. Hell, I'm not a fan of France, but I don't want them bombed just because some official irritates Trump.Saint wrote:I'm actually finding Trump more likeable the more groups that he insults. Clearly he has no clue how to be president and he would probably be a disaster from the standpoint of knowing how to get anything done or even what to do. But his utter rashness on nearly anything is appealing to me.

14% of eligible voters voted for Hillary or Trump
They estimate an additional 72 million Americans will vote in the election.
While I believe most of those people have made up their minds, I don't believe polling accurately reflects who is doing what. That's not to say that I think Trump is going to win, I just don't think you can place any credibility in polling at this point.

Fighting internet porn since 1994? Good lord, at least the people fighting the war on drugs get some satisfaction from seeing people locked up, even if they know in their hearts they are losing the "war". But these folks don't get any kind of victory and yet they still fight. Gotta admire that tenacity, even if I abhor their cause...

When the polls don't go your way, attack the polls. Properly taken polls are a fairly accurate reflection of current beliefs. They aren't exact, but they do reflect trends. If you use the wrong model, then your polls are wrong. The Dems polls in 2012 were quire accurate, Romney's polls were not.eCat wrote:14% of eligible voters voted for Hillary or Trump

Trump will need to get to about 65 million people to vote for him. He's alienating as many groups as possible except for the Blue Collar White male group (Clinton has closed that gap by the way). Why would you attack the capital of Pennsylvania when you need Pennsylvania to have any chance at all? Trump doesn't make any sense at all.

Because even (especially) Trump knows that voting for him is insane and he's trying to make it as hard as possible for any reasonable person to actually do it. There is no way this dude wants the day to day job of President.Owlman wrote:Why would you attack the capital of Pennsylvania when you need Pennsylvania to have any chance at all? Didn't Trump offer Kasich the Vice-President job by telling him he'd have complete control over both Domestic and International affairs? Was that true?

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Khizr Khan, the Muslim "Gold Star Father" who harangued Americans at the Democratic National Convention, with a mute, hijab-wearing wife at his side, is just another in a long string of human shields liberals send out to defend their heinous policies. The "Jersey Girls" were the classic example, first described in that magnificent book Godless: The Church of Liberalism.
In order to shut down a debate they're losing, Democrats find victims to make their arguments for them, pre-empting counter-argument by droning on about the suffering of their victim-spokesperson. Alternative opinions must be preceded by proof that the speaker has "sacrificed" more than someone who lost a child, a husband, or whatever.
Khan's argument, delivered angrily and in a thick Pakistani accent at the DNC, is that "our" Constitution requires us to continue the nonstop importation of Muslims.
If the U.S. Constitution required us to admit more than 100,000 Muslims a year -- as we do -- we'd already be living in Pakistan, and Khan wouldn't have had to move to get that nice feeling of home. So the "argument" part of Khan's point is gibberish.
Luckily, Khan had Part Two: His son died in Iraq, whereas Donald Trump does not have a son who died in Iraq, so he can't say anything.
Yes, a candidate for president of the United States is supposed to be prohibited from discussing a dangerous immigration program because Khan's son was one of fourteen (14!) Muslim servicemen killed by other Muslims in our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. That's why we're obligated to import yet more Muslims – including, undoubtedly, some just like the ones who killed his son. Q.E.D.!
If you think that doesn't make any sense, keep your yap shut, unless you lost a child in Iraq, too.
There were virtually no Muslims in America before Teddy Kennedy's 1965 immigration act. Today, we admit more immigrants from Muslim countries than from Great Britain. We've admitted 2 million Muslims just since 9/11 – that’s more than had been admitted before 9/11. If we don't make it 3 million, we're monsters?
Are Americans allowed to have an opinion on whether that's a good idea?

If he wins, it brings chaos and change to both parties that the same old shit ain't gonna cut it anymore.
I've said that if he wins within 1-2 years, he resigns with "health" concerns blah blah blah.
As far walls and deportation trains, I don't expect that. What I do expect is for real change to the process, perhaps not letting refugees into the country for a bit to get shit under control, and not be all butt hurt about it. Globalization has it place but we as a country need to become self sufficient on our resources as best as possible so we are not put in a position we don't need to be in. I want people who break the law to go to jail and not politic their way out of it. I want weed to be legal in all 50 states and I want farmers to grow it by the fields full so it can be used for recreation, hemp, and medical purposes. I want to stop aiding countries that harbor / help terrorist groups and then have their hands sticking out for a handout. I want to stop being involved in every little skrimish in the world. I want NATO and the UN to start doing their jobs and fight these issues. Call me racist, short sighted, stupid, whatever. The way things have trended over the past decade, I am not a fan of. I will not apologize for being white. I will not apologize for standing up for cops who have done nothing wrong. I will not apologize to cops who do break the law and their asses should be held accountable. I will not apologize for stating that people who are in the country illegally, need to get legal or GTFO. I will not apologize to criminals who get their asses shot for being criminals. I don't have all the answers but I am sure as hell not happy with answers that are given to us by those in charge.
