I think this always happened everywhere. At my high school someone in my grade accused the band director of some kind of abusive misdeed, and he had to take a couple years off until she graduated, but I guess there was no like real proof? Because they did let him come back after. I also knew through the grapevine of one kid a couple years behind me who had a thing going with one of the staff. She was ok looking and relatively young, never was around her much. I remember her husband was kind of the young "cool substitute" that you might get when a teacher was out instead of like the boring old guy who fell asleep or the ridiculous 70's hardass that wore aviators, a gold chain, and a shirt opened to his hairy chest.

They didnt have text messages back then, so my guess is even if they got found out about or were generally known, it was much harder to blow up into a real thing with proof like it is now. I suspect almost every decent size school has something like this going on. 2000-4000 students with a staff numbering in the hundreds? We all can look at our relatively close group of firends and realize how many nutters there can be in a group that size.

I also knew of a couple coaches who hit on girls right after they graduated.

Good point about the impact of technology on these things. My guess is my situation could have played differently if I had a bunch of conversations with her over text that escalated to a point. I mean, I was 15/16 at the time. My defenses were not such that I could just toss away free booty after a bunch of nasty talk.

I need to look her up and see if she's still teaching.

I just got back from extended vacation/xmas with the inlaws in Mobile so I'm playing catchup

We were actually talking about this the other night -the teacher thing.

When I was in high school it was common knowledge that our assistant football coach was banging his student aid on the side - because she was a guy in our group sister

honestly, and it may have been that we were just kids and didn't have the proper perspective on it - but it wasn't that big of a deal. She was gonna fuck somebody, might as well have been Coach Bushong I guess.

Our history teacher - I can't remember her name - was always putting out a fuck me vibe to the boys and it was generally accepted that if you were part of the group that went to that state finals basketball tourney with her (she went every year - I don't remember why) then you were fucking her that weekend.

That was kind of our morality meter - you just didn't accept the invitation if you weren't interested in fucking a teacher - it wasn't all about innocent kids getting entrapped by adults like they make it out to be today.

two new discoveries - a little mom and pop donut place called Sugar Rush Donuts - easily the best donuts I've ever tasted - they have a French Toast donut- holy shit that's good
and a bar b q chain I never heard of called Moe's that has good meats but damn good sauce. I'm not sure its vinegar based but its definitely not that ketchupy sugar shit that people try to pass off so its not complete blasphemy that I loved it. Couldn't get enough of it really.

it was a good vacation even if I spent almost all my time working.

handed out my droid tv boxes loaded with movies, tv series and porn to the friends and family so I was popular.

60 minutes said tonight that 70% of EVOO we buy at the store is a mafia controlled knock off.

so we looked up what was the most authentic - Trader Joes has a California based brand that is authentic
