Two teams playing really sloppy. It could have gone either way. But for better part of 3 1/2 qtrs I thought you guys would take this one.

I don't know who is more dumbstruck by this result. Gators were outgunned and outhustled through most of the game. The OLine couldn't sustain drives, Grier's accuracy and distance was limited, the defense showed raw talent, but was also subject to trick plays and got worn down as the offense sputtered. Tenny looked bigger, stronger, faster, and smarter most of the day, but at the end UF got the 28 points it needed and McElwain dodged a Doug Dickey-like bullet on that bone-head time out on a 55 yard attempt by a kicker who had never tried anything from that distance.

I'll take it and hope the flip side of that karma doesn't bite us down the road.

I'm saddened to know that bluetick may be the only guy around to trade friendly banter with. We will likely be trounced by teams this year unless we have more miraculous 4th and whatever to go type plays. But it was always nice having them around to stick a few needles in after a win. I don't visit as much as I should here, but that has more to do with this website and work. But, I was going to try and make a real effort this year because I expected and still do expect this season to have some brutal moments that the Vols could use to regain a morsel of the last 10 years of their respect back. Make that 11 years now.
