Boo hoo. Republicans claimed the moral high ground long before I was born, even though most are horndogs like everybody else. No sex ed, no contraception, no porn, no suggestive lyrics, no treating your body like an amusement park. Conservative dress only, in by ten, hold an aspirin between your knees. NO MORE FUN OF ANY KIND!

You don't seriously think dems should be held to the same standard of sexual propriety as conservatives, do you?
No of course we don't. The democrats are the party of unilateral and no fault divorce, of free love, of drugs, of feminists, the cock carrousel that the feminists "ride", the AMOG pick-up artists, the baby mamas and their b@stards consuming massive government benefits. Of course we don't hold you to the same standard. You HAVE no standards. You people are amoral, no self respect. Yours is the party of the Life of Julia and Julia's many visits to Planned Parenthood!

My party is the party of the nuclear family, of having children ONLY in wedlock, no abortions, no welfare, no WIC, no EBT, no public housing, no feminism. Mine is the patriarchal party. Ours is focused on hard work, discipline, self respect, and the Bible, things that Democrats most certainly would NEVER expect of their constituents, of their base.

80-year-old former New Mexico Senator Pete Domenici (R) admitted Wednesday that he had an affair roughly thirty years ago and kept the resulting child a secret for decades. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/02 ... -30-years/

Setting the stage for his entry into the presidential race, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., gave a radio interview to be broadcast today with Focus on the Family's James Dobson, in which Gingrich for the first time publicly acknowledged cheating on his first and second wives. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=2937633

Republican Congressman Bill Young was much revered in Republican circles. When he died, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and others waxed poetic about legendary “family man” Bill Young.

The Republican Congressman was awarded the Family and Freedom Award from the Christian Voice, a conservative Christian right political advocacy group and the biggest religious lobby. Indeed, the Christian Voice used to be housed at the Heritage Foundation back in the 70s and 80s.

No one mentioned that Young received this award just a year after he left his first wife and family, amid a scandalous but unreported affair that included the birth of a child. Out-of-wedlock.

The Republican party today was assessing the potential political fallout from a sex scandal that has forced one of America's most influential evangelical Christians to resign.
The Rev Ted Haggard, who is married with five children, stepped down yesterday as head of the 30 million-member National Association of Evangelicals and as senior pastor of the New Life church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, after being accused of paying for sex with a male escort.

Wednesday, 242 members of the U.S. House of Representatives voted to outlaw abortions taking place after 20 weeks gestation. Among them, Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-TN), who has defended his ex-wife having two abortions, and who pressured one of his mistresses to have an abortion after she told him she was pregnant. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/05/tenness ... her-women/

Spence was a conservative lobbyist during the Reagan-Bush years. The New York Times called him "Washington's ultimate power broker." He was also running a gay prostitution ring which employed adolescent boys. As perks of the job, he treated his boys to after-hour tours of the White House. In The Washington Times of August 9, 1989, Spence "hinted the tours were arranged by top level" persons, including Vice President Bush's National Security Advisor Donald Gregg, whose name also figures prominently in the October Surprise story. The paper added that "Spence, according to friends, was also carrying out homosexual blackmail operations for the CIA." http://therealspiel.blogspot.com/2006/0 ... r-gop.html

He became the longest-serving Republican House speaker in U.S. history, but remained so proud of his days as a small-town high school teacher and wrestling coach that he relished the Capitol Hill nickname “Coach.”

But this week those once-idolized small-town roots caught up with the 73-year-old Hastert, who in recent years has worked behind the scenes as a Washington power broker.

On Friday, federal law enforcement officials said Hastert had paid $1.7 million over the last four years to conceal sexual abuse against a former male student he knew during his days as a teacher in Yorkville, Ill., where Hastert worked until 1981.

In an ironic twist to the GOP’s war on the poor, it turns out that the people who are the most negatively affected by Republican cuts in food programs – are Republicans themselves.
Statistics reveal that the city holding the most beneficiaries of the SNAP program (a favorite target of the GOP) is 99.22% white and 95% Republican. Owsley County, Kentucky earns the lowest median household income in the country, but they are the most prolific government-takers in U.S. existence.

According to a TIME analysis of county-by-county food stamp enrollment data, GOP politicians represent more districts that majorly participate in SNAP than Democrats.

You see prophet JD, the beautiful thing about being a Republican, is that I denounce and shun @sshole Republicans. I don't protect them. I shun them. They disgust me. I cast them off, something the Democrats will NOT do with their people. And you know it.

Who (that is not on the list posted above) have you denounced and shunned? The list of GOP sinners is quite, quite long.

To shun, means to ignore, give the silent treatment. I am not going to "defend" Hastert. Or DesJarlais. I shun them. If you want to denigrate them, be my guest. You should. Their @ssholes. I am done with them.

We are all sinners, prophet. But how the political party handles the sin (particularly from those who are... unrepentant) speaks volumes. Liberal democrats still defend Bill Clinton's shenanigans, and John Edwards, and Anthony Weiner, and Barney Frank, and they defended Ted Kennedy until his death. Its wrong. These men are and were despicable. And when the GOP finds we have despicable people, we don't defend them.

You also said you denounced them. I repeat what Republicans NOT ON THE LIST THAT I POSTED DO YOU SHUN AND DENOUNCE?

As for me . . . I'm a sinner, saved by grace, so I judge with the same measure that I wish to be judged. Conservative Christians USE the Bible. Liberal Christians LIVE the Bible.

Clinton? Sought spiritual guidance from Rev. Dr. Robert Schuller, among others http://articles.philly.com/1997-02-22/n ... d-guidance

Weiner & Edwards? Democrats dropped them immediately - as compared to Newt, Mark Sandford, et. al., who are still "elder statesmen" and elected officials, respectively.

Ted Kennedy? Pleaded guilty, paid his debt to society, respected US Senator. Mary Jo Kopechne's family loves him.

Barney Frank? Sodomy with consenting adults is legal in America . . . just ask the Log Cabin Republicans http://www.logcabin.org/about-us/

We also believe all Americans have the right to liberty and equality. We believe equality for LGBT Americans is in the finest tradition of the Republican Party. We educate our Party about why inclusion wins. Opposing gay and lesbian equality is inconsistent with the GOP’s core principles of smaller government and personal freedom.

"Conservative Christians USE the Bible. Liberal Christians LIVE the Bible."

How can liberal Christians live the Bible when they are always trying to disprove it?

I saw the lion story continue through Sunday evening on ABC and NBC, even the empire state building is in on the malarky...

....so by my calculations it's at least 6:1 coverage thus far.

sardis, couldn't help but notice that you didn't refer to it as the Holy Bible. Perhaps deep down you yourself think some parts of the Bible aren't totally sacrosanct and unimpeachable.

I think you're confused. I'll go in depth on the theology thread.

Meanwhile, fundamentalists largely ignore the Bible, except for the 15 verses they like. Ask one about Acts 2:44-45 - "44 And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything with each other, 45 selling their possessions and dividing with those in need."
