When Stabler was at his peak in the pros, there was no one better, then or now. His career only lacked longevity to be an automatic HOF inductee. He should probably still be in despite that.

Well, Stabler pissed a lot of people off, especially the media and NFL office. He was the first unofficial black ball.

There were a few events. Repeatedly entering into business arrangements with organized crime figures, challenging NFL brass to fights. Made it a point to hook up with wives of reporters or assistant coaches, reported drunk to NFL conferences, etc.

Some of the above are rumors, though. The mafia stuff was reported on, but the other stuff is harder to reliably pin down. Paul Zimmerman famously and cryptically said he'd never vote Kenny to a HOF ballot.

It took 5 years for him to get any real playing time then he had about 4 years of greatness, His knees and high mileage living caught up with him and he ended with tepid teams in Houston and NO, by the time he retired he would always look 20 years older than he was.

His numbers are comparable to a few who are already in. But it doesn't matter. Academic.

Jarran Reed is from my hometown, Goldsboro. His family are all driving Dodge Chargers...

I kid you not. Prof, you're welcome.

Dodge Chargers are so Dre Kirkpatrick.

Maseratis are the current wheels of choice.

Nick Saban PERSONALLY bought Reed's family Chargers. Sure, he's a 3-star juco, BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER!

So? Is there a point there other than your blatant racism?

Okay. Here's a little diversity of Bama players with some unusually nice cars:

I'll type slow. DO. YOU. HAVE. A POINT?

Here, let me help you with some things to consider:

1) kids on full rides still can get loans and grants.

2) kids have parents who help them. Or give them the college money they saved.

3) absent any smoking gun (paperwork, etc) it's idle gossip.

4) do you think no Auburn players have "nice" cars?

5) compliance offices (UA and AU, etc) register the cars and get them to provide financial disclosure agreements.

Finally, I'm sickened by your ilk with this absent any evidence. Let's turn the tables. Your house, how did you pay for it? Seems like a poor "preacher" would be more destitute. So, are you sucking cock in a back alley to pay for it (started to ask what kinda car your wife drives, but I just can't sink to your level, you goddamned hypocrite). Are you selling narcotics to the prisoners? Can you prove that you're NOT sucking cock or selling contraband?
