eCat, you're going to make your boy soft when it sounds like he's on the right path. What the hell is wrong with you? You should be more focused on why your girl is developing weird hangups that may cause her to shun relationships and want to keep living at home into her 30s.

I could have worse issues with my kids right now
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

The best part about my oldest turning 18 in February and graduating HS is that starting this month I save a grand a month on child support. I'm still kicking myself for holding my youngest back years ago. She'll be almost 19 when she graduates.

Lucky you don't live in a state where support goes through college.

Isn't college support enough? What if they don't want to go to college?

If they still stay with the mother, there are support responsibilities, iirc.

As far as college, I think if you pay for college that goes against your total nut due, per month. It's the same as with day care or other educational needs for kids under 18. You get to reduce the cash payment based on other outflows for the child's benefit.

Half of my practice is family law. It doesn't work that way in NC.

Now, I'm not divorced and I hope to not be. However, from what I've seen in NY law, my acquaintances that are divorced have told me the following:

1. If you bought your home before your marriage and the mortgage is in your name, it is not immediately severable as property between both spouses
2. Your spouse's education factors ("good" or "bad") into the support schedule...on both sides (payor and payee)
3. Items you pay directly for your child (clothes, day care, private school tuition, etc.) can be deducted from your support responsibilities (you have to keep proof of payment)
4. You must pay child support until the age of 21, it can go higher if they are still in school or have a special need. If the child is under 21, but "emancipated", then the responsibility is waived

heh

instead of giving that Fokker an espy for heroism I think they should do a commercial where Jenner has to take a piss and stops in front of a bathroom marked men and women and has to choose which one to go in--better yet a third bathroom marked mascots and trannys

I love everyone acting like an Espy is something important. It's a n award a sports network made up for publicity and to sell airtime.

Who won the Espy for courage last year or the year before? Does it matter? Has it ever mattered?

As far as whether what Jenner did took courage, there can be no doubt it did. Does he deserve it over X who did Y? I dunno. That's personal perspective and opinion and no one is right or wrong for their dissenting vote.

I think Stu Scott won it last year.

And there is an award named after him this year I believe. Lauren Hill should have won it. It's just a publicly stunt to get more non sports fans to watch.

I think Stu got the Jimmy V award which is essentially the cancer award.

Michael Sam received the Arthur Ashe award last year which is what Bruce is getting this year. Unfortunately, for Arthur Ashe, since he got HIV, his award is automatically given to gays even though he wasn't gay himself.
