My understanding is that the penile shaft is largely mutilated, but left attached, and is used for the labia and as the "casing" within the vaginal cavity. Like e said, a bit of the penis (with the requisite amount of nerve endings), is left around for the clitoris. The balls probably shrink dramatically with the hormone treatments, so whatever is left over is probably used to make a nice tea cozy, or some shit. I don't know. It may be like how the Cherokee did things, where you use all of the buffalo.

They cut the dick down to the balls. Take out the balls and all but the nerve endings on the penis. This they make into a clitoris. Then they take a triangle wedge off of each thigh including muscle and vessels, invert it, burrow it through where the balls were. They then sew that together to make the vagina so that the skin from the thigh becomes the vagina.

At least that's how they used to do it.

My only thought about Jenner is that I felt she looked a lot like Jessica Lange. Then a story about the resemblance popped up on Yahoo and I realized that Jessica Lange looks more like a transsexual than Jenner does, although the latter had the benefit of Annie Leibowitz taking her picture.
