Nebraska has apparently been doing the same thing that Bama got nailed for in 2007:

Nebraska acknowledged Tuesday that it distributed nearly $28,000 in textbooks and other school supplies to athletes from 2007-10, material that wasn't required and amounts to what the school says are three violations of NCAA rules.

For those who don't remember, Alabama was hit with a major violation because of this and had to vacate 20 wins.

then I'm sure the N&O will have a week long expose on "nc state athletes potentially having too many books and why isnt our compliance dept checking on this every day, because we might have a problem, but unc does it the right way because their athletes dont even know where to get textbooks so they cant possibly be in violation the ncaa really needs to look into the corrupt nc state athletic dept and leave poor little honest unc alone."
