Re: Uncle Bud
that is amazing about Pacquio
I can see why though - they've been accused of ducking this fight for years - mostly Mayweather and there had to be immense pressure to go thru with it given how much money was at stake.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

It's a perfect excuse for a rematch. I'm sure everyone involved is pleased.

Not the viewer, if they are included in the "involved"...maybe they should be called the "complicit."
I certainly am not too interested in a 2016 fight with Mayweather and Pac. Like I said before, 5 or 6 years ago it would have been an amazing fight. However, the decline of Pac from his peak is steeper than Mayweather's from his (largely because Mayweather stays in excellent shape all year, does not smoke or drink and doesn't get hit). That decline will be steeper next year. It's not worth it, from a viewer standpoint, imo. I understand why Pac hid the injury, but I certainly don't think it would have changed anything. It just would have upped his chances at catching Floyd with a fight ending shot from 0% to 5%.

Yep, Logan probably had the fight on in his titty bar and was taking action himself from the little slopes.

Re: Uncle Bud
Well, I got the results back from my blood tests at my physical. The good news is I don't have the AIDS, my testosterone and thyroid levels are fine and I'm a very low risk for prostate cancer. The bad news is my cholesterol is like 290, with a high ratio of the bad one (can't remember which one it is - LDL? HDL? Whatever...), and my homosisten (sp?) levels were high. So he put me on B12 to lower the homosisten level (injectable, b/c the MIF used to work for this guy and used to give B12 shots all the time (little does he know, nor did I inform him, that I have some level of experience with that myself, but I digress)) and some statin drug to lower my cholesterol. He said he didn't like statins, but he had to prescribe it at first, then he gave me all the negative symptoms that he more or less told me to come back and report that I was having in order to put me on a newer cholesterol drug (something about having to start with statins before they would let you try the other). I guess the lemon/pepper hasn't done anything for my cholesterol, although I guess it's possible that it was more like 400 before I started drinking it and now it's down to 290. Who knows? I'm going to start gobbling niacin and go back in 6 weeks and see where I'm at...

Re: Uncle Bud
the biggest thing for me on statins is they make my legs cramp up all the time. It got so bad I quit for awhile and my doc read me the riot act after my blood test.
You take in alot more liquids than I do though (at least from reading on here) so it shouldn't be nearly as bad or even noticeable for you

Re: Uncle Bud
That's what this guy told me (about the leg cramps). This dude (Dr. Brewer) is possibly mildly autistic or has a slight case of Asbergers or some shit, he's a certified nut, but he's a great doctor. The MIF said he's one of the smartest doctors she's ever known and people around here swear by him. So when he was telling me about the leg cramps, he mentioned that it could be crippling and I'd end up in a wheel chair. Then he said "but I doubt it". Not the greatest bedside manner, he has no filter on what he's telling you. Then he said my high homosisten levels could lead to the Alzheimers (but he doubted that, too)...

well at least you'll forget why you can't walk
but that's why I said its time for a permanent lifestyle change for me. I'm at an age where the decisions I make now will effect the quality of life I have 20 years from now - or even if I make it that far

Re: Uncle Bud
I think mine is mostly genetic. I don't eat much during the day (even before I started the lemon/pepper deal, I was drinking either green tea or herbal tea all day long for years) and the MIF keeps it pretty healthy at night. Lots of salads and stuff like that, with the occasional fresh juice thrown in (mostly on weekends). I do eat red meat, but I never drink sodas (or maybe a diet soda, like once or twice a month max) and pretty much avoid processed foods like bread, chips, etc. (I never eat the bun if I get a hamburger and the MIF doesn't eat bread, so there's none at the house). I do drink pretty much daily, but it's mostly red wine. So my diet is pretty good, but I've become lazy as hell. Haven't been to yoga or swimming going on a year now and the only exercise I get is yardwork or the occasional walk. I guarantee if you ate like I do, you'd lose 25 lbs. quickly. I think my metabolism must be slow, but that's probably a good thing...

Re: Uncle Bud
I literally don't eat any solid food from the time I wake up to the time I get home (usually around 6 or later), and the rare times I go to the one restaurant in town for lunch (maybe once a month) I get a big salad. The MIF says I should eat during the day instead of getting all my calories loaded up at night, but even with the alcohol, I'd say my daily caloric intake is 1500 or less. I will eat some eggs on the weekends in the morning, but that's about it for my daytime consumption (although I definitely drink during the day on weekends). I would be that if I stopped drinking, I'd lose a good bit of weight pretty quickly, but I can't bear to think of life without booze...

I've got to ease into it
But just with the weather finally above 65 degrees on a regular basis I feel much better.

Just bought a load of soybeans from a new customer in Virginia. His name is Spurgeon Sublett (last name is almost one syllable)...

Brewer became amused when he asked me about my past drug use, going down the list and I just replied: "Yep, all of that."
He replied," Really?!" and emitted these nerdish giggle like he was delighted to get that answer.

Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.
