Somewhat along these same lines, I have had more interaction with the people in here over the past 15 years than I have with most if not all of my "real" friends as well as my fambly (maybe not the MIF and her kids, but parents, brother, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephew). Not saying that's a good or bad thing, but that's the reality...

That's what has been homeschooling for the last 10-15 years. Where you been?
distance learning from professionals? I wasn't aware of that
They started out using Satellite before internet streaming was more acceptable quality. My nephew had his high school science classes that way.

Football would suffer because that's the last sport where playing for a high school team is what matters. I don't know of any travel/club football teams but they exist in every other sport.

Non-classroom education is a great model except that most people are either too dumb or too poor to make it work for them. The biggest problem with education in this country is the ever-growing number of kids who aren't interested in learning because their parents don't make it a priority. A lot of this has to do with economics and some of it has to do with just plain ol' middle class entitlement

Most of it has to do with the fact that most people are plain stupid and don't care to learn anything more than what will get them thru life, which isn't a whole lot. As long as they've got cable TV and a couch (and in many cases, beer), why bother with anything else? I have certainly fallen prey to this, and I suspect it will only get worse...

I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I bought a Kuvings upright masticating juicer a couple of months ago. It's awesome, yields better juice than the Jack LaLane (or the Breville, which is essentially the same as the Jack LaLane, but it looks nicer and not quite as messy) and much quieter. Everybody should have one...

Also, my latest diet fad is a quart of hot (almost boiling to start) water, the juice of 3 lemons and either a half a teaspoon of habenaro pepper powder plus a half a teaspoon of cayenne powder or else a full tablespoon of hot pepper flakes (I usually alternate). I've been drinking two quarts of that every day and the pounds have been melting off. Some of that is no doubt the sludge that this stuff has scoured out of my colon, but I can tell that my pants are buttoning much easier now, so some of it is belly fat. I'm going to start drinking a quart of this stuff a couple of nights a week rather than my nightly wine/beer/scotch ration, which should yield even more results by cutting about 1000 alcohol calories a week out of my diet. Try it, this shit works...

More likely is that your body is adapting to finally getting adequate water rather than having to hoard every precious drop from your daily alcoholic diuretic regimen and is shedding some of the hoard. No doubt once your liquid diet fixation is sated, your body will once again be put through the wringer and have to begin squirreling away its treasured water in its watery hidey holes.

Nope, I was already drinking at least 2 quarts (sometimes 3) of herbal tea or else decaf green tea, so my water levels were fine....

Are you drinking this while it's still scalding hot?

The first few sips, yes, but by the time I'm less than halfway thru, it's just warm and by the time I'm finished it's room temp. You can't really drink this stuff fast, or at least I can't, even if it's room temp...
