Problem solved.

Doubtful, gbjs. Apparently they offered early release to the convicts down there if they'd do a little picking... turned out they preferred AC and indoor comfort moreso than their liberty.

Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

It's hard for me to turn away hard working people who want to better themselves here in our country. It's what America is about, it's what has made us great. It's short-sightedness that wants to limit immigration because of the current poor job situation. The truth is for America to be relevant in 50 years, we need them. We are not replenishing ourselves with our low birth rate. They are not stealing our jobs. They fill in the professions where our children do not. Whether it be roofers, migrant farmers, doctors, biochemists, or mathematicians, they will fill the need. I'm for conditional amnesty. They must show no criminal record while they've been here and their citizenship can be revoked if they have a felony their first 5 years
of being legal. They must declare support of our constitutional government and denounce all others. They will not receive child tax credits or earned income tax credits that essentually reimburse FICA withholdings during that 5 year period. They must not be delinquent with their taxes.

It will take about 5 years for this economy to start chugging again. When it does, we will be desperate for workers who pay into the system. Let's use this slow period to develop fast track conditional immigration. We don't want to be like Europe, and waste away over time. We can blow China's socks off once again if we do this right.

Of course the big story from Georgia is the huge CRT test cheating scandal in Atlanta...this even made the first half hour of the sacrosanct Today Show this week (Tick the thick's bible). But forget that Atlanta has been run by dems for generations...the story is un-harvested cucumbers....

Heh - in your dreams, toe. THE story out of GA is Gov. Nathan Bedford Deal's immigration enforcement bill, just as I described it.

I suppose second place would go to Gov. Deal recently bestowing a controversial $30 million dollar tax credit on Delta airlines and was caught taking a 8k kickback in return. Apparently Deal was under an ethics cloud during his time in Congress, too, but he resigned ahead of an ethics probe.

He should know better, but I don't know how delta values it at $8k. I'm platinum on delta and missed diamond by about 21,000 miles last year. You actually have to fly delta for it to be of any value. Even then the main perk is diamonds are at the front of the line for upgrades to 1st for domestic and also for being answered on the phone.

Plat and diamond get to choose from several gifts upon making that level, but most is $200 gift cert. But most choose 4 one way upgrades, but even those require buying much higher fare tickets to be able to use them. Especially for international travel it's damn near full fare.

Anyway most valuable IMO is being first in line for upgrades, but that doesn't guarantee u one. And talking to a real person in about 5 rings on the phone.

It's not like he is getting free travel out of it. I also wonder if he was already silver, gold, or platinum? If so, it's really being overstated.

Still dumb for him to accept. I tried to get delta to grant me silver once I when I was just short and they refused multiple times.

"We Don't Need New Taxes, We Need New Taxpayers"

Great line. That might be a perfect encapsulation of the real issue.

In the past, you have been rather disparaging of the intellectual capacities of the 2004 Miss Stanly County NC.

you should see what he says about the intellectual capacities of unc's football players.
U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

Nobody - including Dooksucks - cares about the intellectual prowess of UNC football players. Or basketball players for that matter. So long as they score a lot of points and don't get caught by the NCAA.

Likewise I don't care about the mental acumen of Kellie Pickler.

RIP News of the World. Tough times for Rupert Murdoch as he tries to keep the NoTW rot from spreading to the rest of his media empire.
