I was hoping someone else was going to answer this. Short answer: I'm not sure.

I talked to a coworker. Apparently, UT had an idea something was going on but wasn't 100% sure. It was believed there was a possibility the school itself (Miss.) had an NCAA violation or was going to get nailed, not Tyndall. To be safe, UT put wording in Tyndall's contract if he or the issue became a problem. The wording allowed UT to fire him and not have to buy out the rest of his contract which is what happened.

All in all, it appears things worked out well for UT. We got rid of Tyndall without having to buy out a huge contract while picking up a quality coach. Not bad how it ultimately happened.

Ida given anything if he'd stepped up to the mic during his introduction and shouted "I'm Rick Barnes, bitch!"

Such bullshit. UT knew from day 1 he was being investigated. If not than your AD is an ass clown. They were after making the dance of 64. It's the UT way.

Somebody at Bleacher Report picked us as the sleeper to win the national championship next fall.

Should we add that to our list of titles a la Alabama? "2015 BR Pre-National Champs"

They have us beating Michigan 31-21 in the title game. I suppose I'll take it...even with two losses predicted.

I don't see Michigan being there at the end...seems a little far-fetched.

All of Bama's titles -except one- is legit and defendable. Come at me with anything but 1941.

I was going to say that "somebody" needs to put the crack pipe down as it is clearly destroying their brain.

On second thought, it's to late. Puff away.

63,000 for the spring game...not bad considering the storm forecast all week. Peyton being there to hand out a check didn't hurt.

Which recruiting prospect got the check?

Vols just can't help themselves. Want that Fulmer Cup back in Knoxville where it belongs!

Dunno. UGA is always a strong contender for the Fulmer Cup as so many Bulldog players get arrested despite the best example set by Mark Richt, the good Christian man. (They're also a recruiting bonanza for Auburn, but I digress...)

But this year it looks like FSU has the inside track for the Fulmer Cup. Winston is a one man industry of felonies and general sleazy behavior. Looks like plenty of Nole athletes are following in his footsteps.
