Barnes never lived up to his hype. He was a very good player and I was glad to have him, but he was yet another "next Michael Jordan" for us that didn't pan out that way. Of course, I think that's a case of the bar being set way too high. I wish Barnes had been a bit more dynamic and aggressive than he was, but as a fan, you can't be disappointed at UNC career...

Barnes was better at UNC than he's been in the NBA. Paige is stuck on a team full of dimwits but I just don't see him being that much better in the NBA.

I don't know. Every coach goes through periods when they're not cool anymore. Roy seemed to have hit his a year or 2 ago and now this NCAA thing is just multiplying it. On the other hand, he's not willing to go for 1 and dones, at least not in bulk, so he's going to have to keep playing the cards he's dealing himself.
