actually, that made a thought pop into my head - how often does this scenario play out in the AA community and we never hear about it?

Rarely, if ever, I would guess...at least not that dynamic where a mother hops in a car (or a subway, or a bus, or via feet) and starts looking for the person that disrespected them.

There probably are some stories of mothers being disrespected (not by words or horns, but probably something more menacing and physical) and a son has gone out the house to square things and got himself shot (or shot someone). That's more likely, IMO.

I wasn't focused as specifically about a mother but just wondering if this was black on black, would it get reported nationally?

I have a twitter account. I have never told anyone about it, because I've never felt the need to use it

I have two followers - an ex girlfriend who just got a divorce and a kid at work I hired about 4 years ago, I've yet to post a single thing on it.

I do follow several people - at least until they start sending shit out every 10 minutes and then I drop them. Had to do that with Iron Sheik.

Probably not. I think, in a hat tip to AA's fear, that the media likes to push these stories in states that have lax gun laws and also scenarios that help create an environment to make the masses more sympathetic to restrictive gun laws. I truly think these stories are designed to be NRA subversive...not really for the dissemination of useful information to the citizenry.

If it was black on black, at least in a gangster demographic, it wouldn't have progressed to the part of them driving around looking for him. Shots would have been fired at the earliest provocation. That scenario also applies to white hilljacks and Latino gangbangers.

And I'm not against gun ownership, at least normal guns and not howitzers or machine guns like the NRA-supporting gun makers want us all to purchase, but this is a great example of what happens when people are carrying guns around. Believe me, I live in a place full of 2nd amendment idiots who never fail to comment on the newspaper's website whenever there is a crime that it was too bad the victim (no matter if they weren't even injured) didn't have a conceal and carry (cunsill 'n curry) permit.

I find it ironic that these yahoos, who clearly have formed their notions by watching too much TV, haven't figured out that when everyone did walk around with guns strapped to their sides, more people got shot, not less. Leave your gun at home, Festus. If someone fucks with you when you're in your car, just run their ass over.

they also forget that most of those cities had "turn your gun in at the city limit" laws

those old cow towns weren't about to let any drunk ass cowboy run around with a .45 strapped to this leg

Actually, I'm not sure that's true. It might be, but I think I've read otherwise...
