That's almost unbelievable to me - however the renting out a storage unit to get access to the dumpster onsite is brilliant as well as getting eviction notices from property managers and scoping out dumpsters on campus at the end of each semester.
Before 2008, I used to have to pay an additional fee for big items to our trash collector - like a grill or hot water heater - you had to pay them an additional $10 on trash day to pick it up - but after the economic crash, I just set the item out and scrappers will pick it up within 4 hours. You have to be careful because they take anything near the road - your kid leaves a bike out there and its gone.
