Sea level rise . . .Professor Tiger wrote:It just snowed in Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Michigan UP. It was also freakishly cold in Chicago, frightening residents that this winter will be as historically brutal as as the last one.
I asked my son what it was like getting to class at the University of Illinois last winter, where the temps were routinely 20 below zero, only to have the professors insist that the planet is heating up like a sauna. "Who are you going to believe? University of East Anglia computer models or your lying skin?"
Decrease in arctic sea ice volume . . .
Increase in drought/desertification both in US and worldwide . . .
HEY! IT SNOWED IN MINNESOTA IN NOVEMBER! EVERYTHING'S FINE!
During a press conference later, O'Mara was asked if he had any advice for Zimmerman, and he answered, "Pay me."

John Kerry quote....
“According to Gruber, who has been our guide on a lot of this, it’s somewhere in the vicinity of an $8 billion cost. We could not get CBO actually to score this for us. So, but that’s about the cost that I think it is. I have a couple of offsets, if the chairman is willing. I know we’re not going to that here tonight, but I really would like to know that we’re going to address this in good faith…”
President Hope-a-Dope quote.....through his propaganda ministry (MSNBC)
MSNBC included two clips of the President attacking Gruber, including dismissing him as someone "who never worked on our staff." (The fact that the ObamaCare architect was paid $400,000 by the administration did not come up during the segment.) -

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
When President Obama announces he is going around congress and granting amnesty to millions illegals, the Republicans should publicly rejoice, and thank the president for this fantastic new power he has given to future conservative presidents. No more need for conservative presidents to go through the hassle of negotiating with the legislative branch if it is controlled by liberals who refuse to let conservative presidents have their way. For starters, all the GOP presidential hopefuls should announce that, the day after their inauguration, they will sign an executive order abolishing Obamacare. In the words of John Madden, "BOOM! Just like that!" After all, the Republican House has voted dozens of times to abolish Obamacare, but those obstructionist Democrats just keep opposing progress by having the audacity to vote against it. The poor Republicans are feeling frustrated that their dreams have not come true. Enough is enough. Ignore the obstructionists. Sign an executive order. Problem solved.
While they are at it, Republicans can also announce that their next president will sign an executive order banning abortions and gay marriages in all 50 states. Another executive order will approve Keystone, unrestricted oil drilling in ANWAR, the Gulf of Mexico, and pretty much anywhere else the president and his Big Oil backers see fit. Another executive order will cut the budgets of the Departments of HHS, Education, and EPA will be cut by 90%, and budgets for DOD and CIA will be doubled. Another executive order will abolish the minimum wage, ban all labor unions and declare current union contracts null and void at the discretion of management. Another executive order will require that all campaign contributions from Hollywood will result in automatic IRS audits of the donating movie star. Another executive order will replace the current progressive tax rates with a flat tax, greatly reducing the tax bills of the wealthy.
Forthcoming executive orders will force SCOTUS justices Ginsburg, Sotomayor, Breyer and Kagan into immediate retirement, and will install Dick Cheney and the Koch brothers to replace them. The Senate ratification process is now unnecessary.
President Obama's decision to bypass Congress could result in a Golden Age for a President Cruz or Palin. Time to pop the champaign corks, conservatives!

And there would be no such thing as crashing hard drives/disappearing data/emails w/a President Cruz, et al. IOW, the press would resume doing their jobs.

The final executive order by outgoing President Cruz would be that President-elect Chelsea Clinton may not issue executive orders. The same goes for any other Democrat president. Executive orders may resume when any Republican is elected president.

Then why didn't you support Mitt Romney? What you described was exactly what he promised he would do.Professor Tiger wrote:For starters, all the GOP presidential hopefuls should announce that, the day after their inauguration, they will sign an executive order abolishing Obamacare. Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
From the AP:
in 1986 Reagan issued an executive order that provided relief for the undocumented children of immigrants who had been granted amnesty under IRCA. In 1990, George W. H. Bush likewise signed an executive order that established a "family fairness" program that deferred deportations for some "family members living with a legalizing immigrant" who were in the country before IRCA was passed. Up to 1.5 million people were affected by Bush's executive action, approximately the same percentage of the undocumented immigrant population expected to be affected by Obama's forthcoming order.
But let's be honest here. Reagan and Bush were both legitimate born-in-America presidents, so their decrees were bonafide and one hunnert percent Constitutional.
As opposed to you-know-who..
