Thanks, Sardis, and same to you.

It's been almost 500 years.since Martin Luther nailed those 95 theses to the church door. How's that protest been working out?

Quite nicely, I'd say. It has taken awhile, but there can be little doubt that the sinister power of the church has been eroded and continues to erode, and Marty's tack job was the first step in that process. To quote Mary McCarthy, lauding another and very different type of revolutionary: "Bravo, old sport, I say, though the hall is empty"...

Midterm election prediction.

The Senate will end up 50-50 effectively keeping the Dems in charge. Polls are off just like they were in 2012 and there will definitely be voting shenanigans going on with the attorney general's office.

I think the GOP will get 51 seats. It will have some impact, e.g. Obama won't be able to nominate an outright leftist for SCOTUS. His veto pen will also run dry with all the R bills that will start making it past Harry Reid to his desk. There will probably be more real Senatorial scrutiny of his scandals.

But other than that, life won't change all that much.

Balderdash!!!111

If the repubs get 51 seats, McConnell will be embroiled in a scandal within 45 minutes of making the unpardonable sin of dropping a paper clip during the opening prayer. The Today show will run unending comparisons of congressional approval ratings being lower than Obola's......wimmen will die at unprecedented rates and the poor and homeless will once again take center stage on every non-Fox newscast.

White Penis Measurement Day, 2014

Ironically enough, the standing, status and self-esteem of the White Man's Party will likely depend on some White women: Michelle Nunn, Joni Ernst, Alison Grimes, etc.
During a press conference later, O'Mara was asked if he had any advice for Zimmerman, and he answered, "Pay me."

Nunn's a Democrat. Her daddy is highly respected even in this red state. (He was the speaker at my high school graduation.)

She may win.

Actually, if you want to be accurate, Republicans are the White People Party. White women voted for Romney by a margin of 56-42. So, it's more Ironic that the party of color will be led by a white woman in 2016.

One thing curiously absent from the Republicans this election was an articulation of what they plan to do if elected. Their message seemed to be, "vote for us because the world's going to hell and it's Obama's fault!"

The Democrat message seemed to be, "vote for us because Obama and our party are doing a much better job than it looks!"
