Saw "John Wick" - mindless action revenge piece with Russian mob backstory. Some of the gunplay in it is a bit "Equilibrium," but just go in not expecting a multilayered plot and you'll come out of the flick fine.

Enjoyed it.

I have the new episodes recorded but I've lost interest in it. I read that cannibalism has made the series interesting again

It was okay. I watched it. The storyline does wear on you after a while.

Yeah.

That and they abandon strategies that work.

Wear zombie guts. Be invisible to them (though one did do that once in the last episode)? Nah.

Zombies can't climb, so sleep atop a rock or in a tree? Nah.

Knock the teeth out of a couple of zombies and chop their arms off and you blend in, zombies won't attack (can also be used as pack mules). Nah.

Also, since everyone has the virus already, not sure how a nonlethal zombie bite kills you and makes you a zombie.

Finally, the limited capacity of a .357 is a horrible choice for a sidearm.

I know, I know....don't over think it. It's a zombie series.

I agree...and I thought that is what David Chase was trying to deliver in the finale. Did he say that's not what happened? I always had it Tony going down from the guy in the Member's Only jacket who went to the bathroom shortly before the ending.

James Brown documentary on HBO is worth watching. I stayed up way to late last night watching it.

James Brown switched support from Hubert Humphrey to Richard Nixon and the black community was not happy about it. It seriously hurt his career.

And then years later they release tapes of Nixon saying "don't bring any more black people in here".

SNL isn't what it once was. Back in the days of Belluci, Chase, Radner and that guy wearing the German uniform and wrecking on a tricycle. Or was that Laugh In? Or maybe the Smothers Brothers.
