I laughed reading it, out loud, but I respect Tubb too much to watch it.

More tragic - Drake warming up with Kentucky or Tubby and the motorcycle incident.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Comedy - Tubby. Tragedy - Drake. Without a doubt.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
someone said Tubby started out Shaft, ended up Bobby Petrino
the problem with Drake at MM is each year now the fans will expect them to top it. Calipari is just killing whoever comes in to replace him.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
so who here thinks the Wainstein investigation, headed by a law firm that has donated $500K to Carolina in the past, will result in a report scheduled mid week (when all other Carolina new investigative news is released at the end of the news cycle on Friday) immediately followed by a Q&A session with Carol Folt, who issued a statement stating "we can show how we can build on our reforms already in place" will actually find any significant issues of cheating and academic fraud?
I'm going to go out on a limb and say....no
btw, did I mention the two faculty centering around the invetigation were granted immunity in order not to testify on public record?
integrity just oozes from Chapel Hill.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
My brother got tickets in the chancellor's box for the Va. Tech game. It was his son's 13th birthday and they ended up sitting beside Folt. They all chatted throughout the game and it came out about my nephew's birthday, so after the game, she invited them down on the field, they got to meet Fedora and stand in the tunnel when the team came off the field. I know, I know, it's just Carolina football, but it was pretty exciting for my nephew...

Yep, undergrad and law. So far I haven't seen any scandal out of the UNC law school...

At least A&Ms hoops recruiting is looking UP, UP UP.

UNC investigation finds 3,100 students affected by academic fraud over 18 years
The findings from the UNC academic fraud probe are out, and according to investigators, academic advisors steered athletes into sham classes over an 18-year period. According to the report, over 3,100 students were affected by the fraud, which included “paper classes” that didn’t require attendance and inflated grades in order to keep student athletes’ GPAs high enough to keep them eligible. The report implicates Deborah Crowder, the manager in the African and Afro-American Studies Department, and later Julius Nyang-oro, who took over once Crowder retired in 2009.
The classes, in place from 1993 to 2011, were overseen by Debby Crowder, the longtime manager in the African and Afro-American Studies department, and later by the department chairman. They allowed a student to write a paper of at least 10 pages rather than attend lectures or meet with professors. The papers were graded by Crowder, who was not a professor. They typically earned an A or B-plus grade.
The report, the third and most comprehensive produced in the matter, said some academic advisers in the school's Academic Support Program for Student Athletes had ties to Crowder and let her know how high a student's grade needed to be to maintain a 2.0 GPA to be eligible to play. It also said that those advisers pushed Crowder to make exceptions for athletes, including allowing them to enroll in classes after the registration period had ended.
The NCAA has yet to issue sanctions, but released this report with the UNC president:
The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and the NCAA enforcement staff continue to engage in an independent and cooperative effort to review information of possible NCAA rules violations as was announced earlier this year. The university provided the enforcement staff with a copy of the Wainstein Reports for its consideration. The information included in the Wainstein Reports will be reviewed by the university and enforcement staff under the same standards that are applied in all NCAA infractions cases. Due to rules put in place by the NCAA membership, neither the university nor the enforcement staff will comment on the substance of the report as it applies to possible NCAA rules violations.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I can't say I am surprised by the report's findings. Despite some of the blind protestations here by Tar Hole fans, there was clearly fire associated with the smoke. The question now is what the NCAA will do, if anything. Anyone associated with what went on in either the academic or athletic depts has to be terminated, pronto.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
More normal students took the classes the athletes thus the NCAA as no standing,
These classes are no worse then me taking basic math at my college for my math credit.
Though I think ROy should let go because he is dirty as they come and as tarnished this team.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
It was a story on NBC news tonight. They called it perhaps the greatest academic scandal in college sports.
"
"Was it an academic or athletic issue? Clearly it was an issue in both areas," Chancellor Folt said."

Gotta love Bruce Pearl...... No doubt most UK fans would disagree with me, but when Cal exits Lexington in the future, I would love to see Pearl take over the UK program. He's one of the few that could follow Calipari and not miss a beat.
