It's a lot of stuff to cover, but....AlabamAlum wrote:I have no idea if she was raped. I used to be a lot more convinced that she wasn't than I am now. With every idiotic thing Jameis does, the "well, he could have, I suppose" gets a louder voice in my mind.
As far as her story changing, I haven't seen any official story from her. It's always been second or third hand -or worse. Where can we see her directly quoted on what she says has happened and how it's changed over time, Kev?
Newlin's investigative report - http://cdn2.vox-cdn.com/assets/5056142/ ... d1__1_.pdf
"(the accusor) told Weisburg she thought she blacked out as a result of being hit in the back of the head" (pg. 1) - investigators found no evidence of this. She also told another friend that "she was hit in the head at a party and blacked out" (pg. 7).
She reported having so much alcohol that she could only remember the night in bits and pieces (she reported 5 mixed drinks at the bar along with sharing drinks with a friend - pg. 3) - her BAC was .048 which translated to a max of about 0.10 for the evening (pg. 7). Her friend reported that she was drunk but not "that girl" drunk (pg. 13).
She had a dating relationship with a player from Kent State named Jamal Roberts whose semen was found on her underwear - she refused to mention his name (was discovered through phone records) and he refused to cooperate with officials, saying "he would answer questions only if subpoenaed" (pg. 13) - would you act this way if your girlfriend was raped? Also, when this fact was discovered, her aunt attorney claimed that her roommate had borrowed the shorts and had sex with Roberts.
Her aunt attorney claimed that she had been slipped date rate drugs, and when the test results came back negative she claimed the blood had been tampered with (keep in mind the tests were performed at UF). The tests were redone and the same results came back. (pg. 7)
Two hours after the sex, she texted a friend of hers asking for the answers to a test in a class called SPA-2 (pg. 6). Again, strange behavior (IMO).
She identified Winston as the attacker in January because they had a class together. She was offered to change to a different class and declined. In February, the TPD reported the case was being suspended due to a "lack of cooperation from the victim. If the victim decides to press charges, the case will be pursued."
I'm not going to dig a whole lot more because frankly I doubt anything will change anyone's mind at this point, and it doesn't really matter one way or another.

With regard to his "idiotic behavior"....many of the things being reported actually happened before he was famous or notable - the BB gun incident(s), the "stealing Sprite from BK with a ketchup cup" incident were uncovered over a year after they happened and fairly typical college kid behavior. As for stealing crab legs - yeah that was dumb. Whether he was truly stealing them, made a mistake, or taking advantage of a friendly hookup that football players get - it's not something that anyone's moral sensibility can agree with. Screaming an Internet meme in the student union was also dumb...he's a jokester and fashions himself a comedian, but it's not the type of thing you can do when everyone is watching. No one who actually heard him seems offended, so keep that in mind. Anyone who says he was an idiot for showing up in pads at the Clemson game is an even bigger idiot. It wasn't his fault.
