Re: Virginia Tech Hokies
Given they just took care of business in C-Bus (incredible Hokies), I see (at most) two possible losses left on this schedule, @ Pitt and @ Duke. I think 10-2 is the worst case for this team. And the best case? The best case is that FSU is fortunate they didn't draw them this year.

He's a dual fan. Kinda like Rickart - except it's only two teams. Or maybe like DookSucks with Carolina and UNC.

Virginia Tech had never beaten a team ranked in the top eight on the road before Saturday night-- they were 0-34 in such games. If you notice that any VT fans you know are unusually elated by a win over a team playing a backup QB, it's because VT fans have never seen a win quite like that. Ohio State has serious problems, and with Miller out, the Buckeyes were missing a guy who could make some of those problems irrelevant. Having said that, it was encouraging to see VT win a game on the road largely due to superior effort and coaching acumen-- they had smart plans on both sides of the ball(especially on defense-- that will go down as one of Bud Foster's masterpieces), and they just outfought Ohio State all over the field. VT couldn't have overcome three turnovers and 10 penalties without that kind of effort. It was also very encouraging to see VT's points being scored by two true freshmen(RBs Shai McKenzie and Marshawn Williams), a redshirt freshman(TE Bucky Hodges), a true sophomore and former walk-on(FB Sam Rogers), and a junior backup CB(Donovan Riley). Finally, two top recruits from the state of Virginia, DE Josh Sweat and OT Matthew Burrell, were on official visits to Ohio State. VT badly wants both of those guys, and couldn't have made a much better impression on them.
It's probably still too soon for this bunch to make a serious run at another ACC title this year-- the line depth is a major problem, and I can see some major matchup problems on the horizon(Pittsburgh, maybe even UVa). The Hokies get East Carolina this week, and the Pirates have played them very close the last couple of years. If you'd offered me 9-3 with an upset of Ohio State before the season, I'd have taken that and run like a thief. But if the lines can be shored up, many of the pieces are in place for VT to be much improved in the next couple of years.

I will note that I would have enjoyed this unexpected victory much more had I not been sitting through what will likely prove to be the death blow to Brady Hoke's tenure at Michigan at the same time. I expected Michigan to lose that game, but that performance...well, there are still ten games left to salvage something, and Michigan better get really good at salvage operations right away.

I only have one experience with Hokies, and that was at the Gator Bowl in 2002, and they had several smoking hot young ladies cheering them on.

Re: Virginia Tech Hokies
I helped move a friend to Roanoke for PA school one time. Good grief. That place was a shithole except for a little off-beat area in the middle of town. However, I got loaded, went to some Brazilian steakhouse on the side of the mountain and had a grand ole time that night...
I proudly took AFAM 040 at Carolina.

Way to early to start acting like rooster.
Yeah, but VT's had three possessions, gotten no first downs, and gained only five yards. VT badly needs a big play right now. I think VT could come back from down 14 against this ECU team. I don't think they're coming back from down 21.
