Ordinarilly I'd point out that oprama is a lame duck and who gives a fig and all that...but then I keep hearing these disturbing reports of plans for martial law and a suspended 2016 election. I bet you hear the same thing, toe.

That's your problem IB. You stop reading and you stop thinking. Unlike a real person of serious study who takes all the facts to come to a conclusion, you only accept those that fit into your preconceived beliefs.

I wonder if you are capable of serious study. Perhaps. You are arguing something that you don't have a basis of knowledge about. This is why you use terms that have no meaning, comment on half a sentence thereby taking it out of context and why you actually believe that a blogger's opinion thread is of scientific and/or legal consequence. It is not.

But enough of this crap. I'm going to write a final.

Most Christians pick and choose from the Bible. It's just that some know that do and others, like IB won't or can't admit it.

sardis wrote:"The other half of the "threat" is the cash and prizes. Before, if you wanted to leave a marriage that the other person wanted to keep, you left with nothing but the clothes on your back. You don't get the kids, the house, or any money. You walk away with nothing. Now a woman can keep the house, get the kids, collect alimony (for life) and child support."

You act like the old law was the same for both sides, but it wasn't. The man could get divorced and still keep half of the marital assets and pay half of earnings to her if he instigated the divorce. The wife got nothing if they instigated. It is a level playing field now.
Most states have gotten rid of alimony for life. But for a reasonable time. Also, studies have shown that many confuse child support and alimony. They are two different things. Child support is entitled to by the child and is unrelated to visitation. This is also confused by most people. If you have a situation where one party is the primary breadwinner and the other at home, guess what, you are going to have to pay (as Whoopi Goldberg found out).

You can tell they were hand picked by the Tea Baggers. None of them had their hat on backward or their pants to their knees.

Holy fucking god was that divorce shit unreadable. Things haven't changed. Except, I notice AA was right about something, which would be an obvious change. LGA is what I imagine the slums of New Dehli in August to be like. With fewer dot Indians and far more aggravated travelers.

Until the next time....everyone, STFU

When I first read that, I thought Talent was citing his hellish divorce as his reason for being scarce around here...

You were also correct, AA, about Faulkner and GWTW. The "mighty" hedgehog was, of course, wrong about GWTW and his immediate resort to critic "evidence" was predictably risible, miserable, provisional and despicable. In short, the "mighty" hedgehog remains in fine form after all these years.

I would never expect a Yankee to understand, much less enjoy, GWTW...

The movie does tend to play to the uneducated and, even worse, wrongly "educated."

Just a quick stop, Sardis. BTW, you need to sign up for picks contests this year. Idiot.
